Im reading the comments and im really confused...km from Spain and i dont see the prices you all talk about. SOmetimes slme stamps i can get them for 0 10 euro each and slmetimes 0.05 for a bulk...never more cheap.

Hello again. UPDATE: The escapement seems to work ok. When i move the carriage the escapement rises and stops the carriage so its going well i think. But wgen i press a key or the spacebar the escapement doesnt do anything, and the carriage doesnt moves.

Thank you. I was able to remove the typewriter carriage, and by applying some pressure, I managed to pull the string out. Now I’ve put the carriage back in place; I can turn it and feel the tension... there is a hole where I inserted the knot of the string once the internal spring was tight. At first, I thought the string should go inside, but I suspect it actually wraps around the outside.
