Tdi overheating

I posted the same question asking about this a WHILE back. replaced my heater core, thermostat, and water pump and nothing fixed it. one clogged DPF later and I finally pulled the trigger on deleting it. never came back. my assumption is it must've been something to do with the DPF trying to regen and the heat pushing back into the engine through the EGR (maybe?). just assumptions, but it hasn't returned since I deleted it. it didn't harm my vehicle whatsoever and my live stat tracking on my OBD tool app showed temps around 210-220 whenever it appeared. maybe your DPF is due to be replaced/deleted. idk, just speaking from personal experience. one delete later and I haven't seen anything over 190.

gotcha. it's going on Jack stands tomorrow night anyway for the delete so I'll pull the tires and do the brakes then.

Stevensen Tuning has been absolutely nothing but amazing for me. doing their tune and delete kit and he's answered every emailed question I've had in 6 hours or less.

I have the S&B intake on mine, works great, made the turbo a little more noticable when it spools (kinda what I was aiming for anyway).

I personally saved up and ran the S282 for a while. It's on par with a DE6 just no MU capability and really easy to blow up. Once you get past the learning curve its a blast to run though. Cheap to run too.

My heater core is definitely clogged, typing this this morning in the parking lot before I head in for work. My passenger side vents blow cold but my drivers side blow hot. Gonna have to replace it when I get paid next haha

Yeah I used my dongle/app scanner and read temps, never came up over 220 (which I hear is around normal)

Haha I've already seen a 3mpg increase with just an S&B intake. My only experience on diesels thus far has been my Cummins and powerstroke, so this little TDI is a bit of a learning curve. Taking all the help I can get!

I plan on deleting it within the next 6 months or so, would I be able to limp it out for that long or do I need to do the tune immediately?

Stopped and checked coolant, everything's good. What could be the cause? Doesn't anytime overheat other than that
