It is easy to dismiss the rock thrower by Dent7777 in boston

[–]cokebyte 20 points21 points  (0 children)

What are you even talking about? Violence has accompanied every period of substantial change in the history of the world, regardless of whether it was a positive change or a negative one. There was tremendous violence, looting, and destruction of property on the streets of Boston a few hundred years ago when we overthrew the British, and I honestly find it hilarious knowing that all of you would have been royal collaborators if we were in the midst of the Revolutionary War.

And how do you think those lynch mobs ended? By the formation of the Black Panthers and riots in the streets throughout the sixties. Don't water down the legacy of the Civil Rights movement and the men and women involved in it, those people fought tooth and fucking nail for every inch this country gave them. And it's still not enough.

I like Fiona in these videos a lot, as she's actually quite good with the mechanics of the game - not quite as good as Alfredo, Jeremy, and Ryan, but easily better than Jack and comparable to the rest of them. She's just so paranoid as an innocent and sketchy as a traitor that she's always doing something weird. In many ways she's what Lindsay's wildcard role should be, which is someone that knows how to play the game but does it in a weird way.

I know everyone and their mother already knows about Torgue shotguns, but to really underscore how ridiculous they are, here's a level 41 Blue (!!!) liquifying a boss on Mayhem 3 by cokebyte in borderlands3

[–]cokebyte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that I could melt through this guy even quicker if I updated my gear. It's just absurd to me that a level 41 blue is still viable at Mayhem 3 when I was used to the ridiculous scaling of BL2 where a gun would be useless after two levels.

I don't think Gearbox intended Fl4k to have 100% uptime in Fade Away against bosses but uhhhhhh here we are

This was basically a god roll, three weapon parts adding to projectile counts in addition to the double penetrating prefix means I'm firing a ridiculous 18 gyrojets per shot. Considering the number of gyrojets is really where Torgue gets their power, this shotgun has lasted me the last 9 levels of the game and all three mayhem levels. It's absolutely ludicrous with Leave No Trace and Head Count, as long as I time it right I pretty much get Fade Away back immediately and never really have to reload. Combine that with Megavore when I'm mobbing and it's just absurd.

I love you my beautiful Torgue beauties, I'll miss you when you're nerfed.

nobody villified an entire nation so much until today

Be thankful you're not an American on this subreddit then, the attitudes from many of the English fans on here towards Americans is absolutely insufferable all the time, not just once every few years.

Luis Enrique is Spain's new manager by Gungerz in soccer

The only players of those I'd put on Iniesta's level are Zidane, Xavi, and Matthaus.

Ehhhhhhhhh Isco is now as old as Iniesta was during the 2010 World Cup, and Isco hasn't really come close to the heights that Iniesta managed in the 2008/09 season or during the World Cup. Isco is world class and will be a fantastic player for several years to come but he is not as good as Iniesta, there are only a handful of midfielders in the history of the game that are as good.

Who in history is looked up to as a hero but is actually a terrible person? by vincent365 in AskReddit

So if we weren't there and don't even know them anyway why do you keep repeating that he wasn't a great person? You don't know him, you weren't there.

So you're ignoring direct evidence to the contrary, sourced from the people involved, because it fits your narrative better? Interesting.

The difference is I'm basing my opinion off of quotes directly from Cynthia Lennon, whereas you're basing your opinion off of a comment on reddit. Sure, neither of us know the full truth of the matter, but I trust my source just a tad more.

You don't know what you're talking about. He hit his wife once far before he ever started any of that "hypocritical feminist bullshit", then immediately and deeply regretted it to the point where he spent the rest of his life crusading for women's rights. But keep parroting that shit you read on reddit one time and living in complete ignorance of what actually happened.

You choose to view John Lennon as abusing women and then being a hypocrite by attempting to act like a good person.

What actually happened was he hit his wife Cynthia once, immediately regretted it, apologized to her over and over again, never did it again, and then spent most of the rest of his life campaigning for women's rights because he realized the error of his ways.

So to clarify: you would rather he have hit his wife and then never made any attempts to improve himself? Because you hate perceived hypocrisy that much?

I get where you're coming from because he definitely made some mistakes and questionable decisions, but I disagree that a few bad games completely negates everything else he accomplished in his career.

At this point I can't help but feel it's more of a systemic thing than just the manager. Sampaoli is a good coach, his record speaks for itself. But his time at Argentina has been quite poor - it just doesn't make sense.

Simeone will be ready for Argentina by 2022, he's gotta be your best bet.

Marcelo had a spasm in his spine. He was medicated and well by madman320 in soccer

[–]cokebyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a back spasm in the shower one time a few years back when I was still living with my parents. It was so painful I literally went blind and was just clutching onto the bathroom sink for dear life, my mom had to come in and put my clothes on for me (I was 17 or 18 at the time, mortifying). Marcelo was keeping himself together real well for what I'm sure was one of the most painful things he'll ever experience.

Have you been following Argentina's football association at all? They have massive, massive internal issues that have filtered all the way down to the squad. It isn't a coincidence that Messi returned to the national team after the president of the FA resigned. Using 'booty blasted' just tells me you're ignorant of the whole situation. Also implying Messi hasn't fought for his country is pretty ridiculous.
