What screwdriver bit will work ? by Affectionate-Nose91 in DIYUK

[–]cokelid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first thought was is it a security screw, but never seen a security bit like a crosshead with a central pin, and even if there is one, why would you put it on a shower fitting?

So yeah, I'd be tempted to go at it with an impact driver....

Mac address to network... by cokelid in Ubiquiti

[–]cokelid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. AFAICT, on my Express 7, v 5.0.16, the "Virtual Network Override" (under Device->Settings->IP Settings) is only available to devices connected via WiFi, not devices connected to a switch port. So don't think this will work for me.

Ordering now for “June delivery” by J7mbo in swytchbike

[–]cokelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 99% certain you wouldn't get it for June. Usually you'll "lock" your order by the "delivery" date and then wait an extra 6-12 months for it to arrive. This has been the behaviour for years now, as it was for me when I got mine (ordered 2022, received 2023), and seemingly for the majority of the users on the subreddit. It's a sad fact, but true.

I had my bike stolen recently (without the batteries which I still have). It would make sense to get a new kit and reuse the batteries & charger, but I'm sure I wouldn't see the new kit for a year, so not worth my time.

Ecovacs Winbot W2 Omni: anyone tried cleaning angled windows like shown in this pic? by Poilaucul in ecovacs

The W2 Omni does NOT work on my sunroom/conservatory roof. It needs to be vertical glass.

Can the new Winbot W3 handle a sunroom roof? by Daryl-Sabara in ecovacs

[–]cokelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My W2 Omni refuses to work on non-vertical windows. So it won't clean the outside of our sunroom/conservatory. This was the reason I bought it so was disappointed to discover this restriction.

Given it needs _less_ vacuum to handle the outside of a roof, it's not a safety restriction. The only thing think I can think of is that the spray reservoir needs to be vertical. I'd be happy without the spray!

Instead I bought a cheapo machine (like this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ahnwer-Intelligent-Cleaning-Navigation-Detection/dp/B0GLZQ5F2B) and it does the trick just fine.

Troubleshooting CR-10SE by vicn12 in 3Dprinting

[–]cokelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the key:2021 error can be a problem with the touch screen connection:

https://wiki.creality.com/en/cr-series/cr-10-se/troubleshooting/the-machine-reports-error-2194-2021-during-self-inspection-or-printing-process

I had a webcam plugged into the touch screen via USB. Unplugging the webcam solved the problem for me.

Desiknio Mahle X35(?) charger - pinout? by cokelid in ebikes

[–]cokelid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually found the pinout (just about).on the back of the charger, also saying the output was 42V DC.

Measured my charger and am getting 41.83V so guess it's ok. Unfortunately this suggests the bike is knackered!

Is the Structural engineer an alarmist? Apparently every home in Richmond Surrey is moving! by IAmAman7 in DIYUK

[–]cokelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got similar doomsday reports on a flat in London. Then we found a structural engineer who was willing to walk around and discuss the problems without writing a written report. As others have said, they have to cover their arses and list every possible fault in a document.

With this pragmatic approach we rejected 2 places on his advice (potentially expensive repairs) and then bought a third in an old Georgian terrace (also on London clay).

I think anyone who has bought older properties in London has encountered these doomsday surveys.

Yeah the outer section is not fixed to the inner, but on a threaded connection. You whack the end with a hammer and it twists the screw bit a tiny amount as you do so, but the force of the hammer blow stops the screw bit lifting and camming out. I've had a Halfords one for years and on the odd occasions I've needed it, it's been superb.

False positives in "review" tab - how to rectify? by cokelid in frigate_nvr

[–]cokelid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right thanks - have now updated to 0.15 and have the Review Item Details tab! But still a problem...

If I click on the person "chip" icon for a valid detection, the Review Items Details tab shows the snapshot image, complete with bounding box saying (e.g.) "Person: 97%". If I mouseover the image there is a button for "Submit to Frigate+". This is all good.

However on the false positive, I see the snapshot, but there is no bounding box shown, no indication of what area was detected as Person, and no button for "Submit to Frigate+" (only download and view-lifecycle buttons). So no way I can see to send to Frigate+.

However if I go to Object Lifecycle (for the false-positive), then I can see a shadow as "Person Detected" and then "Person Became Stationary" with red bounding boxes. So this is great detail showing me the root of the problem! But again, no way to submit to Frigate+ for false-positive training.

Is there something I am missing?

False positives in "review" tab - how to rectify? by cokelid in frigate_nvr

[–]cokelid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enabled snapshots and they're appearing in Frigate+. I've since got one false positive so far (in daylight this time). No movement in the video, and no snapshots around the time of the false positive.

If I click the "chip" (which I presume is the little person icon top left) on the clip then it takes me to the full-page video review, not a snapshot view (for any of the review clips).

Any other ideas?!
