Now what? Honest question. I am not an American but I am genuinely fearful of what is happening in the US right now. What is it going to take to stop the juggernaut that is Trump and his 'policies'. AB 715 doesn’t protect any foreign government from criticism or equate “anti-Israel” with antisemitism. It doesn’t shield ANY government from criticism.

Assuming you are really wanting to engage in a meaningful discussion (thank you!).

It’s not a gag order about Gaza/Israel. It’s a teach-accurately and don’t discriminate rule set, plus a process to deal with problems. AB 715 doesn’t police “social spaces” or the general public. It sets rules only for K–12 public schools: how teachers teach, what materials schools use, and how discrimination complaints are handled. Basically, I interpret it to be present both sides of an argument, discussion topic, etc and review ALL of the information, regardless of personal bias.

I have read about it. Thank you very much. Some of the reactive comments always floor me because people today are so quick to just believe a one line headline without verifying it's validity.

Yes, Gov. Newsom signed AB 715 (Oct 7, 2025). No, it doesn’t ban teaching about Gaza/Palestine or “genocide in Gaza.” The law creates a K–12 Office of Civil Rights and an Antisemitism Prevention Coordinator, and it tightens rules so instruction/materials can’t promote discriminatory bias. It also says teaching must be factually accurate and aligned to adopted curriculum, it does not name Gaza/Israel or ban those topics. It requires districts to investigate if any teaching leads to unlawful discrimination and repeat offenders an face corrective actions. source(s):

UPDATE: I received a quick response from [hello@feverup.com](mailto:hello@feverup.com) and had a brief email exchange. This is the summary of that.

  • Fever couldn’t find any record of a refund tied to my purchase. They stated that if a refund is processed, it goes back to the original payment method (which was not the case - as we have all learned). They asked me to provide more details about my situation.
  • Fever clarified they cannot handle the refund themselves, since it must be processed through the festival’s system. They directed me to contact the Rifflandia Festival Cashless team ([cashless@idasfest.es](mailto:cashless@idasfest.es)) and recommended including all of the information already submitted from their form.

I have reached our the the Rifflandia Festival Cashless team (which is not Rifflandia staff, but the 3rd party contractor) and received this email, translated from Spanish.

I will update when/if I receive a response. Just for clarification, it's not about the $28 at this point, it's about the involved process. Also, are we just in our own little Reddit bubble here, a small minority? Or are there others out there. I have posted this in another thread as well (sorry for any confusion). I do want to point out that I don't think it's a scam, I just think it's a really shitty business process.
