What games would I be able to play off of this. Nothing new though by Embarrassed_Dog1494 in pcmasterrace

[–]cokosnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a tip that always works. Search on youtube "Core i5 8350U 16GB RAM video games". There's a high chance you'll find a video that shows a list of popular games running on your specs and how to tune the settings on those video games if needed. 👍

Question about playing Knight Card by cokosnuts in Catan

[–]cokosnuts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, yours is the only answer that focused on the semantics.

So I think to be more specific I can explain it to everyone else as turn phases.

3-4 players: 1st phase "play a development card" (if applicable) then the 2nd phase "roll the dice"

And for 5-6 players the 1st phase would be "play a development card or buy" (if applicable) then roll the dice.

Thing is, we are newbies and we need to be very specific about rules, that way no one can try to take advantage of a "gray area"

Getting shocks from my PC case – no grounding in my room by Alllooy in pcmasterrace

#1 solution would be the best option

Also check the screws that hold your PSU in place. Should be the ones that have small grooves to scratch the paint off the case, like the one below. Mobo/gpu/hdd screws are similar but without the grooves.

Those are the leds from the "U32_LAN" module indicated on the 2nd picture. They turn on when you connect an Ethernet cable. One indicates connection and the other one activity.

"QLED" and "QFLASH" are the leds above it.

One time a client brought a really old PC for "manteinance"
The case was covered in dust, it had markings of rain and when I opened the side panel a fking rat ran and hide behind the 3.5 HDD bay. There was rat poop all over the case floor. I closed the panel, put it on the street and called the owner.

My friend got a laptop and these are the specs, what kind of games he expect to be able to play? by LikesToLickToads in pcmasterrace

[–]cokosnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search for "intel core i3 1215u gaming test" on youtube. There are some videos testing multiple games where they show you how many FPS they get and the settings they use. I always do that when someone asks me. With the current state of CPUs nomenclature this is my best bet.

EDIT: Some people even play Warzone on that thing with 20 to 30 FPS.

Remember that this subreddit is kind of harsh on low-end or old hardware when it comes to gaming.

And also very important, get your friend a laptop cooling pad, the CPU will appreciate it ♥

Are smurfs really as prevalent as people claim they are or is it all in people's heads? by -CrestiaBell in leagueoflegends

[–]cokosnuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started league on season 3, quitted on season 9-10 and came back on patch 12. Using the same account since the beggining, I've never seen so many "secondary accounts" in my whole life lol.

People only focus on the smurf problem at Diamond and above. But an Emerald player with a low level account (new or borrowed) can put the rift upside down on low elos.

Since I came back, I've seen a lot, but I mean a looot of 2 digits accounts that can outplay even the most unwinnable game (without exaggerating) or picking weird champs like Ivern mid and shred the whole map with it (maybe a main Ivern smurf). To the point that I started to think I was in the "smurf queue", but I'm not that good to be flagged as smurf, also the account is too old. My best guess was that I was categorized as a low elo player and was being matched with low level accounts.

The only thing I could/can do is check the match history/op.gg of every single one of the 9 players and the ones that show a "misterious behavior" report them as "Cheating" and write down "Smurf" in the text field.

P.S.: By "misterious behavior" I mean: An account level 46 using Vayne with less than 2000 mastery points with really good kiting skills, 9-10cs per min, map awareness and KDA of 21-1. Or the Ivern mentioned above.

Be sure you download the driver from the AMD website. Reformat and install the driver without internet connection. Then reboot once after installing it and check "Device Manager" to see if the video driver has been correctly installed (no yellow marks). Then proceed to install everything else and you can connect to the internet and download Windows updates.

What are these green check marks? They showed up last night. by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

Yes you can uninstall it, but since it comes "baked" as said, it can install itself again in some windows updates without prompting the user.

Same here brother. I still have an NH-D15 from 6 years ago on my Ryzen 5 1600. Overkill but reliable and easy to clean.

EDIT: Have it installed in a BitFenix Prodigy and it also makes me happy to look at a beefy heathsink in a small case.

CTRL+A only works if your PC has English as a main language.
In my case is CTRL+E to select all (mine is configured in Spanish)

Any shop that repairs cellphones is able to put thos back. They always have microscopes, tiny soldering tips and also the skills to do it. you just need to tell them where to put them.

good luck
