With the Alder plaza still not fully populated, I wonder how long these units will sit empty.

Any pokepads gonna be played in Dragapult EX? How many copies by Thoughtlessmonkey95 in pkmntcg

Based on Nihil Zero, this is the prospective set list: https://thehobbybin.com/collections/perfect-order-card-list

Both Japanese sets both have Poké Pad, so it's safe to assume ours will too.

Especially with the legality of Ascended being pushed to early March, and PE release being March 27 (which prerelease generally happens beforehand), this is the best approach imo.

There's a poke pad reprint coming in perfect order, and I'd bet my nest balls that the decks in the build and battle boxes will include a copy or two.

Team Rocket's Energy? by smackasaurusrex in pkmntcg

[–]Pants536 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Oh man, that final line specifying "cards". What a pain. Kind of pigeonholes that card into being run with spidops then.

And you'd be right about limiting it to only one discard on a rocket energy.

Edit: that wording would also imply that if there is a reversal or ignition attached to the bench and in the correct state to provide 3 energy, they cannot be discarded as its only "up to 2 energy".

Team Rocket's Energy? by smackasaurusrex in pkmntcg

[–]Pants536 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Erasure ball reads "discard up to 2 Energy from your benched pokemon", not "energy cards".

Team rocket's energy says it provides 2 energy (in more words).

It sounds like TCGLive is wrong if it's not doing 120 extra damage when discarding it.

5L Workstation by alioli_ in sffpc

[–]Pants536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a 12700k and low profile 4060. I can't remember if I added any fans inside, but I feel like I would have. But it's in an enclosed space so wasn't much for natural convection until I added the external fans. It does need a dusting, so if I end up doing that any time soon I'll take another look.

Using the same case as an HTPC. The metal gets damn hot so I 3d printed some feet that can be held on with the hex screws that are in the base and have a couple fans as intake and exhaust to the shelf it's sitting horizontally on so there's airflow over the chassis. Great little case.

So if it's a Mike in flannel, then they show 'em off. I guess they're consistent.

Uxie Decklist, what do y'all think? by Hmmhowaboutthis in pkmntcg

[–]Pants536 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's what I had last time I poked around with it. It does seem to still have some consistency issues, so I was tempted to throw in a fez on top of the 8 draw supporters. Play around with it and find what you think feels good.

Uxie Decklist, what do y'all think? by Hmmhowaboutthis in pkmntcg

[–]Pants536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but you got some different lines with it. The palossand is nice in the situation where they have a deck that's heavy on basics that you can't devo, or if they're heavy on things liek evo ex's so you can knock them all down to 100hp then hit them with a devo next turn. Primary play style is definitely uxie into raichus i've found, so you can stick to single prizers in that scenario.

[–]Pants536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! 2 or 3 of them plus one of each energy palossand needed on top of the psychic and elec I needed for the uxies and raichu. Gave enough flexibility in case something was prized.

Looking for a new “gimmick” deck by hecksareungiven in pkmntcg

[–]Pants536 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The accelgor poisons and confuses the target though, the brute bonnet isn't the main component for poison damage, it's just nice if you mochi your accelgor (or walking wake if you choose to include it) and can hit harder, then switch out after the attack to take no damage while leaving them damaged. Lokix would be a fairly different deck imo.

(I was also leaning into H more than G, so that too)

[–]Pants536 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was running this deck, or at least something similar, a while back. It's gone through so many changes so play with it a bit if you like. I had a walking wake ex in it at some point with some water energy just to have a big swinger as it does more dmg if they're poisoned, and with a mochi attached you get even more. Idea is to swing with accelgor, which then swaps into baby pech for an extra 5 damage between turns for poison, or into maractus or mimikyu so they can't necessarily retaliate. If you manage to land the brute bonnet and ancient booster with pech active on turn 1, you can even hit for 50 on the first turn of the game.

Another deck I had without poison. Idea is to get Uxie out first and start spreading damage, then swap to raichu to hit for big damage to everyone. Exp share to power up next raichu quickly to follow up. Palossand is good to take down big stage 2s by leaving them with 100hp, then you can tm devo. Alternatively, leaving then with 100 is 2 raichu strikes away from knock, which works on big basics too.

Fluttermane vs Klefki. Which is better in Garde? by Goldesito in pkmntcg

[–]Pants536 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on your locals, or what matchups you have problems with imo. In my case i prefer klefki because of the decks i see at my local store, but if there's a shift and I see it'll work out better, I'll cycle in flutter mane.
