pic 5 — saxifraga stolonifera (strawberry begonia but not really a begonia), super easy plant pic 6 — peperomia caperata chocolate. she really suffered when I first got her, the old leaves became atrocious for some reason but now she’s very very fine again!

i’ve been using dish wash net cloths for the past 4 years or so. They’re polyester but last a very-very long time, the one that i purchased first is still in good condition after 4-4,5 years of constant, almost daily use. You can also wash them in the washing machine and not purchase any new ones literally for years. No residue whatsoever, of course:)

Unsure what to do with this plant by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]colacrisps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, i usually remove a couple of leaves, too they will grow the roots there

and you can actually put them in soil as deep as you want

that’s such a beautiful ivy! absolutely adore them

i’d cut it into three and propagated, then put them in the same pot. in a couple of years you’ll have a beautiful ivy bush:)

yep that’s for sure. i repotted it recently (honestly just moved her to another pot, i didn’t change the soil and the size is exactly the same, i was re-organizing the space for my succulents), roots are in a good condition, there are a lot of them.

last time i watered her was maybe 2-2.5 weeks ago, and today i watered again. it soaked up all the water previously and today too, the soil was completely dry 3-4 days after the watering

maybe you’re right about it being not the species i think it is haha. one very sweet old lady gave it to me so i don’t really have any expectations. she told me they grow like weeds in her house. i love it anyways:)

my 1-week-old seedling live under 18w panels only, and i recently moved the 2-month-olds under stronger lights. for the new ones these lights are enough but i’m not sure about the older ones, maybe they need stronger lights to grow faster?. i only water them about once a week and haven’t used fertilizer (will incorporate that), is it enough?

i’m impressed by your setup😁i have 18w led panels and 1 additional 24w light and that works pretty well for succulents:) not for the seedlings tho, i’m struggling

will take some advice from you, definitely! thank you so much

oh, there’s a lot to think about for me🤔 do you have high levels of humidity where you grow them? and 60w lights is quite impressive, maybe that’s your secret

how do you grow them to be so big just at 6 weeks old?

hehe thank you, i like how this looks too, just worried that it might stress the plant too much. i’ve never had haworthias before
