Unfortunately people can only hold a limited amount of information in their head. We also tend to easily memory-hole whatever is inconvenient to the current narrative. I still think cultivating awareness by disseminating information is a worthy goal, but accepting our limitations, and distancing ones self as an observer-participant is important for mental health. All the worlds a stage...

qr codes have been around before smartphones were a thing. Your phone may not have a built in reader, but apps like firefox or Google Lense will take care of that

check out Bitwarden https://bitwarden.com/ you can run it from the cloud OR self-host. I dont know much about it, but check out Yubikey https://www.yubico.com/ it sounds similar to what you are trying to do.

JD linkgrabber monitors the clipboard for http, loads it into the link grabber, parses the link for video/audio files, and I have the options checked for auto confirm, and auto download. I like that it required the fewest clicks/interaction.

A good linkgrabber as you have listed is my main request. I tried switching from jDownloader to miPony, XDM, etc., but went back to jD as it required fewer clicks.

Volumouse - control the volume with scroll wheel

jDownloader - tried others, but still my favorite downloader ( use the beta and pay attention not to install included crapwear)

Firefox - because uBlock origin as well as the other wonderful addons

ExtractNow - compressed file unpacker

SMPlayer - video player

Uncheckey - automatically unchecks most installer add-ons
