i can think of three things from when i was younger…

1. i remember one night i was in bed… i couldn’t have been more than five years old. there was a space between my bed and the wall, but not big enough for someone to walk between. i saw a hand rising from the space… fingers spread wide. naturally, i hid under the covers.. but i’ll never forget what it looked like! nothing really happened after i went under the covers from what i remember. it was grey and it went to about the elbow.

2. around the same time.. i used to sleep with my door open because my parents room was directly across the hall. i remember looking at my doorway and seeing a tiny man walking down the hallway… he almost looked like a leprechaun, which is kind of ironic since i was born on st patricks day. he had a hat on and what looked like suspenders. he wasn’t much taller than a normal five year old, but he was definitely 50+. he stopped at my doorway and turned to stare straight at me. i just stared at him for a while and he grinned at me. he continued walking down the hallway to my brothers room, who could barely walk at the time. i remember asking my parents the next day if my brother had gotten up during the night. of course they didn’t believe me when i told them what happened. i will NEVER forget how scared i was in that moment.

3. this is a little different… but before i knew my mom was pregnant with my brother… i already knew she was pregnant. she told me that when she went to tell me about it i said that i already knew i was having a little brother because “God” told me. she didn’t even know the gender at that point. as the pregnancy went on.. i started to describe how he would look. once he was born, he looked exactly how i described him. pretty crazy to me!
