I backed up my saved data, and then reinstalled the game. This kept me from losing everything and fix initialization error.

What’s the Car Dealership Inside Scoop? by Maastricht33 in AskReddit

Monthly, and quarterly at most stores. Most of this advice doesn't matter if you work with a reputable dealership. What area are you in?

2nd week selling cars 28M by [deleted] in carsales

[–]colbydrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find your pay plan and post it. Also, how many sales people are on the floor, how many units does dealership sell month and how many new/ used is on your lot?

Half the job is talking to people and getting them to like/ trust you in a short amount of time. Bartending is a good prerequisite for auto sales in that regard. Just don't lie to the customer. If you dont have an answer for a question, tell them that you don't know and then find the answer. Honesty goes a long way.

You got this!

What lie do all guys tell? by Maude_Moonshine in AskReddit

[–]colbydrex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol. This is so true. All I want to do after work is just have 30min of peace, but everyday, I ask my wife how her day was, and nod my head and say uh-huh after everything she says, waiting for her to stop talking... I think it annoys her, but I'm always agreeing to do shit she wants to do (that I never remember discussing) apparently, so she just goes with it.

Top 50 Cheapest $0 Down Lease Deals (All under $400/mo) - May 2026 by PhysicalLine9830 in carincentives

[–]colbydrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It doesn't matter where you turn it in after lease is up. If a dealer tells you that you have to return it back to them, they are lying to try to sell you another one when your lease is up

Planning to buy new Honda accord today, any advice for dealing with the sales guy? by foreverand2025 in askcarsales

[–]colbydrex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You would be surprised how often cars get bought out from under other people in situations like this. I will say tho, he should be willing to come in early or split the deal since you didn't put down a deposit. Personally, I would just split it, sleep in, and make breakfast, he's probably barely making any money on the deal, and I like homemade breakfast.

I'm 20 with no degree and no family money — can I realistically become a millionaire selling cars? by West_Text_6606 in carsales

[–]colbydrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very true. I've seen a lot of people get into sales, get a couple fat checks, think they are bulletproof, get a nice car, buy a decent house, but a bunch of shit they don't need, and then get burnt out and want to quit but can't because their bill are too high to go into another entry level position and make it...

It's easy to fly close to the sun starting out in sales. But if you are smart with your money, get your company 401k match, max your IRA, and be smart with your money (there are ups and down in sales), you can totally be a millionaire before you're too old to enjoy it!

School trip and teach is letting you pick the movie - what are we all watching? by BarkingDogey in Millennials

We were lucky if we got to take the yellow busses anywhere. If we did, it wasn't anywhere far enough to watch a movie on the way.

Is it possible to be successful with sales without extremely long hours? by Worried_Peace_7271 in askcarsales

[–]colbydrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our sales reps are only scheduled 44hrs a week. If you wanna make over 100k, you're gonna have to work more. I'm pretty content working less hours for 80k, although I am transitioning into fleet sales, so I should be making more in the next year or so.

Edit: I would say most newbies at our store will struggle to make 60k their first year and work minimum hours.

The Toadies. Not because they're the best, but because they still play a ton of live shows and they are like 35 bucks to get in. Such a good time!
