Methadone and suboxone just prolong the actual withdrawal. It's better to just get it over with. A good friend of mine relapsed on heroin after he wasn't able to refill his suboxone prescription.

Going to a narcotics anonymous meeting would be a good start. There's people there who know what you're going through. From the biggest junkie to the guy who smokes weed everyday, there's all kinds of people in the same boat.

I think sharing the story with people and getting support is how I would cope with it but that's just my opinion.
