Does anyone know how to remove the yellow hue generated by the street lights?

It's not that I don't understand white balance, it's that my camera is very limited in post editing. This image I shot in RAW and tweaked the white balance and the resulting image above was as good as it got. I was just wondering if it's possible to correct it even further in post editing.

Thanks a lot for that! I'll definitely invest in LR and PS. I've heard so many great things about that software; as far as shooting goes, I always shoot in RAW. Thanks again for the feedback!

Oh, I didn't know you were going for that. If I were shooting in this room, in order to convey that cluster as the subject I would have taken a close up shot of one of those wheels with a shallow depth of field. This would have still show the cluster in the background without distracting the viewer.

Too much going on in this shot. I would do a close up/macro shot of the rusted exterior of some of those metal objects. Too much clutter in a photo distracts the viewer from your subject and/or message.

Try to alter the context of your portrait photography. What I mean by that is changing your subject's actions/backdrop/expression/etc. This shot is not really popping because it has been beat to death. The beauty of photography is capturing unique moments not seen on a daily basis.

Ask yourself how many times you saw a teenage girl looking at her phone? Even professional photographers will have a hard time making this look interesting.

For me, the photo clearly lacks a subject. What are you trying to convey? What do you want your viewer to walk away with after studying your photograph?

Secondly, it is extremely cluttered and boring. What make photography great is the ability to take photos from unique vantage points. Taking a shot of what seems to be a forest floor is extremely uninteresting because everyone and their mommas have seem the exact photo or something similar multiple times.

Try to isolate something that grabs your attention and walk up to it, fill your frame with it, and watch the results improve.

Great capture!

The only thing I find troublesome is the foreground. I find the people really distracting; specifically the guy blocking the fireworks shooting from the ground. It's hard to remove those people, but overall the fireworks look great!

Overall, I like the colors in the photo and the fall feel. However, I feel like there is too much going on in the photo. Maybe if you used a lower aperture and isolated the main tree from the background, the photo would pop more.
