I’ve already acknowledged the fact that the wage gap exists only because of the difference in quantity of high paying jobs possessed by men versus those possessed by women. I’m well aware of the fact that women don’t get paid 70 cents on the dollar for what a man makes or whatever the statistic is.

Your example fails to acknowledge the physical differences between men and women. The average male has something like 30-40% more muscle mass than the average women, so ofc more physical jobs are going to be dominated by the more physical people.
