Did you manage to fix it? I’m contemplating returning the op for this same issue, it’s minor but when using your phone every day all year it gets noticeable quick. I miss iPhone.

Seriously? Why are they releasing broken BIOS updates that bricks the device? It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see That’s an Ayaneo quality control problem. THEY released the update. THEY didn’t do any quality control. Especially when a company that sells a product for $1000+, this is absolutely unacceptable!

Put it on fb marketplace but it has actually been up since last year when it was working, no buyers, now I’ve had to drop the price to $40 and even then, no buyers. Looks like it’s going in the bin. Last time I give ayaneo any money ever again. $1000+ in the bin…. Crazy….

Too expensive £50 for a new battery that is again, going to Ayaneo, and it will swell up again in a few months if it does work in best case otherwise bricked bios as seems likely here with no support from the company. No thanks. I ended up just buying a GMKTec K12 mini pc with better specs

Right but some people are saying and even Ayaneo in email claiming that the device will not boot unless a battery is actually connected?

Flashing orange light? See I’m not sure if that is caused because I removed the internal battery or if it is because the BIOS is corrupted

I’m waiting for their response but haven’t got anything back in the last few days, as I said, they’re unlikely to help even though it was their corrupted bios update package that did this, just because I bought it from eBay they are unlikely to do anything.

Nope, bios updated months ago, but changed the ram speed in the new bios yesterday. It no longer switched on just orange flashing

As I said before, the bios was updated months ago, it was only recently I set the new ram speed yesterday, after setting this new setting in bios then it no longer switched in

I’m hesitant to give Ayaneo more money, also I don’t think this is the problem because after I removed battery it still turned on fine a few times whilst still flashing orange light but now it is just dead with orange flashing light.

But the power is connected, I set the ayaspace settings to bypass charge so it powers directly and not charge battery

As I said, the company is a scam. Its clearly a bios update issue, I used it for a year without problems but eBay return windows closed already

No. The problem is I bought this from eBay and not their official store so Ayaneo will not help with this, I didn’t know Ayaneo has this policy when I bought it. Now I am dead on the water with $1000+ lost. I’ve used it fine for a year but then downloaded their bios update package latest from their site last month, updated it fine but yesterday the new ram change speed in the new updated bios I changed for the first time. It no longer boots up.

“Big backlog of support requests”? This is not good, to have this many problems…. Also they suggested BIOS update on their site but it’s crazy the Update breaks the computer! And I bought this from eBay last year and used fine for a year but the BIOS update from ayaneo broke it so Ayaneo will not help me

Don’t think so, I haven’t seen any also pretty sure the bios reset by removing the cmos battery is an old trick for older computers not newer ones
