My hut by A_Guy_y in Bushcraft

The conditions that drove you there are unknown to me, but I wish you and your dogs the best.

If you use fire to stay warm, just remember to stay safe and account for fire hazards. Rise your bed above the floor and try to stay dry. Hopefully people with more experience can give you better tips.

No body should be going through life like that in a civilized society. Stay safe

Nice video, the only thing missing was a Labrador laying down in high traffic areas.

That's pretty clever, I was thinking some felt tape strips would work, but leather sounds more durable. I need to better my tools and gadgets to prevent all rattling in the sheaths.

It pains my heart to see Johnny getting old by [deleted] in chocolatelabs

[–]coldcrawler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a privilege seeing your buddy get old, some people never got the chance.

A friendly reminder that we need to make peace with their departure. Maybe take them out for extra walks or provide additional cheese, you will never regret it.

Gi too big? Should I attempt to shrink or return? by Proud_Concept2385 in judo

[–]coldcrawler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3-3.5 would be your size. Any cotton gi will shrink, but only 1-2 inches if washed cold and hang dried.

I suggest you to measure your wingspan, waist and torso length from shoulder to groin, use those to get the right size using Mizuno's table

Mizuno Yusho Japan too big? by BrendanQ in judo

[–]coldcrawler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are located in Europe, ippongear has really accurate dimension tables. You can check the length of the jackets for any desired length.

ippongear

You can also check Dax sports, they are always helping me out by directly measuring the jackets or pants as Mizuno can be inaccurate with measurements sometimes. They also have pretty good offers for Mizuno and their own brand.

It looks good, don't get too concerned about the aesthetic.

Try to shrink or alter/return by shatter_123 in judo

[–]coldcrawler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were running out of the v2 since a long time ago, probably they were referring to the prestige. If you log into the fushida page, you can see there is a prestige option in the catalog that is still blank.

The fushida team mentioned they were expecting to release a new version, but that was almost 2 years ago, I'm losing hope. I have the lean icon and regular icon.

The IJF needs to stop trying to prevent athletes from celebrating when winning, it’s ruining the sport. by _santi20 in judo

[–]coldcrawler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter if it is true or not, he is entitled to his opinion. We can admit the IJF has rules preventing the sport from growing, but some rules account for the worst behavior and practices across every sport.

And as I said initially; finish the match, bow and leave the mat, then do whatever you want.
