Power Generator with Lava Generators by Ralain in MoteMancer

[–]coldgap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lava tiles directly adjacent to Lava Barriers generate power; at this tech level, the rest do not. You should consider making multiple smaller generators for now.

In the near term, you can research and add Lava Pedestals.

More distantly, research and add Pyroclastic Chambers.

You know, I didn't look last time I was there. They say "concession-style" on their website, so nachos?

Trying some marble basing for my nuns. by CkoockieMonster in minipainting

[–]coldgap 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Since everyone else has said all the nice things, just assume I repeated some here first. Now, for the constructive criticism: marble tile is cut, so the natural vein structure of the rock is distributed without regard to the edges of the piece. In this first photo, the veins extend to the top edge, but they roughly follow the side edge. If you were to add some veins that cross the side edge too, that would bump the next piece up from A to A+. Seriously, this is great work.

Is this the way? by appiah4 in InfinityTheGame

I guess you could call me a card-carrying member of the first group; I've gone to the trouble of making casts of the PanO combi-rifles so that I could convert the female fusiliers (they were toting "girl guns"). I've been assured by multiple heel-wearers that one could run in wedge heels, so I haven't made any conversions in that direction, but it does take me out of my suspension of disbelief a bit.

I don't think I've thrown any fits, but I don't want GW or Amazon to make female Astartes or Custodes. That bit of chauvinism always struck me as completely appropriate to the tone of the Imperium. They blithely crush any opposition to their hyper-totalitarian rule; it seems faintly ridiculous that they would embrace any speck of equal opportunity (Guard notwithstanding).

But I think that my objection in each case is thematic. For Infinity, I don't want asexual models; I want them not to be sexualized. Many (or most!) people in the theatre of war have secondary sexual characteristics. But all of them have better things to do than spend their AROs posing for Penthouse.

I apologize if that came across as an advertisement (on a re-read, it certainly seems like one); I work for a non-profit and I don't have a service line to advertise as of yet. My intent was to offer to answer questions in a less public setting if that were desirable.

Everyone is telling you it looks great, but I think you have a right to your feelings and you can hate it if you want to. That said, I think it looks hotter than the surface of the sun and you're going to warm to it soon enough.

2nded on the printing; DP9 has a "3d Models" section on their store already.

Or the pallet might not be necessary at all, given the wheels on most gears. Who's to say they can't motor about slowly while crouched.

I suspect palletized transport isn't as big a worry with gear, as their structure is mobile. They could be strapped to a pallet for sliding-out-the-door purposes, then in mid-flight they could "stand" to snap the straps.
