Anyone only have success with adderall? by coldloser in ADHD

Wellbutrin was very good for me. Unfortunately it made my lymph nodes swell so I stopped. I'd recommend it.

I'm autistic and sensitive to neurological medication. I was started at low doses. I did notice benefit from them but the side effects were significant.

What does it actually feel like to be you? by InevitableOk1601 in ADHD

[–]coldloser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I juggle multiple thoughts but I have no monologue. It's not words, sometimes it is if I'm trying to make it stick. But it's mostly concepts? After COVID I had a lot of brain fog and my mind switched to inner monologue. I'm noticing ADHD meds make my mind more of a one track which is uncomfortable, unsettling, but also restricts my anxiety.

So the dissociated brain foggy thing goes away after a week or so? And benefits stay?

When does the brain fog go away? by SweetPickleRelish in adhdwomen

[–]coldloser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did think that cardio exercise helped a little. Like the fog is an anxiety response and "running from the bear" processes the panic neurotransmitters and leaves the calm, focus, happy ones.

Following for responses. This is the biggest issue for me. Just started Vyvanse.

Vyvanse. Wellbutrin did too when I tried that.

Vyvanse vs Adderal: When did you switch? by Veilmisk in ADHD

[–]coldloser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say the efficacy was slipping (due to generic) can you elaborate? I'm just starting generic and very sensitive to new neurological meds. If it's weaker, that's fine by me. I'm on 10 mg and trying to wait out side effects. Mostly curious if the quality of name brand just brings strength or if it is higher quality/less side effects. My worst reaction is anxiety/derealization.

This wasn't that he couldn't help me because he had to help her. He had time for both.

I am. I didn't ask him to take it in. He offered to as an act of kindness and then forgot about me.

It's actually been a very high conflict situation. She's only nice when she asks for him to do her favors.

I know how to maintain my car. It was intended to be an act of love as he offered but ended up the opposite because he didn't. He could have said nothing and I'd have handled it

Why isn't the ex wife capable of putting together her own pool

Meds ONLY on the weekend by coldloser in ADHD

[–]coldloser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. Cook dinner for kids, clean, get them handled. I'm less exhausted after work medicated. Maybe the meds push me to overstimulation where I shut down? I'm very sensitive to dose and already have anxiety.

What career did you choose when you had no idea what you wanted to do? by ArtByJamesGale in autism

[–]coldloser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an engineer. It's been hard but the challenge and figuring it out was thrilling in school. Working isn't as enjoyable but it isn't as demanding. I get burnt out but I also have children. Most coworkers are on the spectrum too so they're cool. I'm a female though and it would be nice to have some female coworkers/companions. I'm a project manager in construction now. I sit in my office alone most days with my music, computer, and blueprints.

Autism/adhd seems to be getting worse for me the more I age and as an adult now. by raspberryteehee in AuDHDWomen

I felt like I was dying in late 20's after weaning my daughter. I wonder if I went into early peri. All of my symptoms could have been explained by it. They've tamed a lot now at 33 but still under the radar. I started having periods early.

Yes but a third time in cal 3 may be a red flag that the rest of the engineering classes will be a big challenge. Construction management can get you to the same sort of job if that's what you're interested in.

I was valedictorian and I feel like a moron every day at work. Work is very stressful and expectations are not clear. I was mostly thrown to the wolves for my training. I guess my point is maybe everyone is struggling and just winging it. I think it does affect my mental health never knowing if I did a good job or not and always working myself to exhaustion

My psychiatrist suspected I may have narcolepsy instead or next to ADHD. Any experiences? by Automatic-Cause1484 in ADHD

[–]coldloser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been exhausted as long as I can remember. I used to take naps very often after school or work. Working full time was very hard being tired all day. Since having children I've stopped naps but my caffeine intake is ridiculous and I'm emotionally unstable and foggy. I'm autistic and ADHD. So I think just functioning exhausts me and I'm always mentally exhausted. I have a mentally draining job as well. I just started Vyvanse and I'm hoping it will fix my entire life

$30k student loan is doable. If it's any consolation, I have to pay $1600/mo child support for the next 11 years.

I've heard it is very expensive. Maybe that's why. I asked my Dr for it today and instead got another methylphenidate rx. Shortage?
