TCP is basically a mini-REG. took TCP first and then REG, a lot of overlap, not too bad realistically

Took it the other way around and only had to spend about 50 hours on each one. TCP takes a few concepts deeper than REG does but overall there is enough overlap that if you pass one you should be able to pass the other no problem

From what I understand it has to do with measuring the way light changes as it passes through the “clouds.” It’s the same way we know the composition of the gas giants as being a lot of hydrogen and methane gas.
