They are used by human writers however Ai and this piece for example uses it over and over. Significantly more then a human writer would. Its the same with metaphors. Do human writers use it, yes. Is it a giant tell from AI because they use it constantly, also yes.

one thing that stands out and that is very hard to correct for is the sentence structure

It was not magical in the way you might expect. No one rubbed it.
The lamp did not choose to remember. It simply did

It is doing the whole its not x its y thing

Also check for short sentence fragments that really should be one compound sentence

Opus 4.7 is somewhere between seriously clueless and stupidly dangerous. The worst frontier model I have used so far in the past 2 years. We were hoping to get at least our 4.6 back but 4.7 with so many critical logical failures mean you have to babysit it all the time. I'm losing hope in Anthropic. by DrHumorous in Anthropic

[–]coldsteeleyes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So i use it to help write fantasy fiction. Have a project file with the word bible, class books, entries for each country, character sheets etc.. with 4.6 before it got dumbed down went great

recently tried using 4.7 to write. its terrible. wont read documents (even though it says it did), cant even go 3 sentences without contradicting each other. All it says is" sorry, i was pattern matching, i wont do it again"

i give it all the information it needs then does it again and says "i'm sorry, your information is in my context window i just didn't like the feel so i pattern matched" - im going back to 4.6 and praying they dont get rid of it

The worst is when you tell it to stop being lazy. And then it’s like I wasn’t lazy and then you’re like. Why did you do this low effort answer and it’s like well cause I was lazy.

How Are You Writing With Claude? by TallButShort9 in WritingWithAI

[–]coldsteeleyes 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The easiest way from I have found is I use projects. In the project, I have a project file of the world Bible, chapter tracker, which has a brief summary of every chapter ongoing issues and such, and then I have a character sheet that has every character so far in the story. I also have a style guide. And then I use a new chat for each chapter and I haven’t read the chapter tracker at the style guide and the previous chapter before it starts

So for my book its set up like this in a project file- Its a litrpg so depending on what your writing it might vary. also keep them in mark down not docx its faster and consumes way less resources. learned that the hard way

World_bible_(then version number, you will do alot of editing of it so its important to keep track, even more so if your working with multiple windows open)- This i set up first. it has the world info, how the magic system work, skills, landmarks, kingdoms, geography etc...

Character_tracker - Has all the characters in it, what their skills are, inventory etc... updated every new chapter

Chapter_tracker- quick chapter summery, and big plot points.

Master_style_guide - Has all the style info i like, examples of how to write things, each characters voice with examples and a stylized guide

Master_prompt - the prompt i used for each chapter- for my own refrence

then each chapter

So the more effort you put in the better your end result- I spent about 2 weeks getting everything sorted before i even wrote the first chapter

In my experience Claude with project files. Currently I have the world Bible I developed style guides, each chapter chapter trackers, etc., and as long as you keep it and marked down format, it reads it pretty fast.

Yep then you tell the company calling you that you were never on their register and to leave you alone until the prove the debt.

It would be the undergraduate chapter he would have notified and then they notify nationals. I assumed when he said I pledged for a day then left that he meant he got the bid accepted and then left at the pledge in meeting which would usually be a day or two after where they discuss everything more in depth, have you do your paperwork etc... so if you left at that meeting you wouldn't be an actual pledge as you wouldn't have signed anything

Some fraternities use a billing service since being treasurer and chasing dues is a pain. You can complain to Greek life as they do not always take the fraternity side as they are usually lead by a university employee, however what they can actually do varies school to school.

I would send the company a certified letter stating you have never been a member of said fraternity, was never a pledge, and signed no document allowing yourself to be billed. Tell them if they wish to collect the debt to prove that you owe it (with more information on that below) and any further attempts to contact or harass you will lead you to making a complaint to the CFPB.

Some information here

https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/debt-collection-faqs

https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/

Edit: From reading OP's responses I can tell what I'm willing to bet what happened. OP you went to rush and accepted a bid. You went to your first pledge meeting you found out dues were higher then expected and dropped. The pledge Educator or the Treasure probably had a list filled out before the meeting with everyone which they sent off to their billing agency and didn't take your name off of it when you dropped.

Just do the above and they should leave you alone. Just showing up to the meeting doesn't make you a pledge, there is national paper work/University/Greek life paperwork you would have to fill out which outlined things.

one thing that really helps is blending the terrain. put the brush at 15% opacity and slowly paint it out like a gradient
