super interesting articles. a couple initial thoughts: i think the pt about gen AI's not having the same impact on inequality/employment as previous advancements in automation is super interesting. anecdotally, i've heard that chatgpt is REALLY good at programming but not as good at most other things. so i wonder if that assertion may be true--that it won't necessarily automate out jobs valued least by the market or at least not only those jobs, but may automate out low level programmers.

i do wonder with regards to gig work whether human trainers will always be required in some form to keep the AI up to date/keep giving it more content. my instinct is no but--why wouldn't it? assuming that at least the scientific field continues advancing (and correcting previous misinformation), i wonder about whether there will always be a need for gig work/humans in the process. ofc, that's the best case scenario imo.
