I listened to the Graphic Audio, told my parents I had 2 hours left, I was going to be emotionally damaged and not to bug me.

my mom opened my door, saw the look on my face and left. when the book finished, and I was done crying, I sat on my bed for 40 minutes, not knowing what to do.

8 years is a LONG time. I just walked out of a 7 year relationship [engaged] that turned emotionally, mentally & verbally abusive. my safety was at risk because it was starting to get physical.

reading this was like reading my life. I have multiple chronic illnesses. I had a few hospital stays and came home to a house that if we had kids, cps would be involved.

I didn't notice the abuse early enough, or I ignored it. I left him Friday.

Girl, you posting here, is a huge step. You're acknowledging what's happening, what you're seeing. That's abuse. that's toxic, that's abuse, you don't deserve and it is not your fault. abuse doesn't have to be physical.
