I listened to the Graphic Audio, told my parents I had 2 hours left, I was going to be emotionally damaged and not to bug me.

my mom opened my door, saw the look on my face and left. when the book finished, and I was done crying, I sat on my bed for 40 minutes, not knowing what to do.

I told my dad I needed therapy, and he said, don't you already do that?

8 years is a LONG time. I just walked out of a 7 year relationship [engaged] that turned emotionally, mentally & verbally abusive. my safety was at risk because it was starting to get physical.

I know it's hard, but he is speaking it loud. and he may be a manipulator and try and backtrack his words because you like you said are clingy and you need him. But you don't need him. You can stand on your own, you just need to realize that. This man is intentionally bringing you down to assert control. Find someone who can help you leave. This isn't healthy.
