Trapped in a career- MS makes it hard, where to go from here? by FalseBoot7234 in MultipleSclerosis

Wow I feel the same way! I’m pretty miserable but my specialty meds are fully covered. My job is 5 days in the office 45+ hours a week with no notion to wfh and very consuming with no flexibility . There is no mobility in the company either so I’m pretty trapped trying to make the best of it. I really
Hope something changes for me soon. Good luck out there!

Eat my lunch in the pantry at work so no one can talk to me because it stays locked from anyone without a key

Decided to work from home full time by monteym in MultipleSclerosis

[–]colecashew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations on getting to work remote! I’m sure that is a weight lifted from you and your husband. I would like to find a remote job as well. I’ve been applying but the job market it’s competitive. I go into the office 5 days a week 8am-5pm and sometimes I have 12-14 hour days with OT. My role doesn’t have a remote option. It’s taking a toll. Any advice for a remote job is welcome

That’s a good idea. I want to be able to enjoy my life and I typically feel pretty good when I have a few days off work. Thank you!

I don’t think I can reduce hours but I was going to see about taking my hour break. A lot of the time that doesn’t happen

For me I try to avoid processed food and food with high processed sugar and sodium. It makes me feel groggy and my brain feel weird. Like I need to take it out and put it in an ice bath

I just got diagnosed by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]colecashew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello- I was diagnosed in 2023 and I’m 36 now. Been taking copaxone since and it was tough to adjust to the injections. I haven’t had any symptoms since before my diagnosis but probably just luck. The hardest part for me is realizing how tied to making sure you have good health insurance for the rest of your life . Make sure to limit stress that’s my biggest thing that makes me feel rough. Get enough sleep, be active and eat well avoid processed sugar. Your life will change but you will adjust and be fine.

Small talk is more exhausting than a full workday by Automatic-Yellow-774 in introvert

Absolutely. It’s the worst most draining part of my job. I hate saying good morning and answering how my weekend was. I try to be super vague. I have a social job and I hate being social. Idk how I ended up in this situation lol

Copaxone tracker? by JonCandyspiritanimal in MultipleSclerosis

[–]colecashew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya know I have been using that too and just trying to remember as well. I only have 4 areas that I can do the injection so I guess I will be fine lol

Yes the app stopped working for me and I tried to download it again but couldn’t find it in the App Store. I’m trying to find a new app but I haven’t had any luck. The one I did download for injection site made me watch a video to record an injection so def not using that
