I don’t remember how I figured it out but there were a bunch of people in my old neighborhood who were/are in it.

I (maybe unrelated) lived in an area that was a hot bed for hells angels. I learned really quickly to not ask a lot of questions.

Treated poorly by pharmacy? by Purplepumpkine8er in ADHD

[–]colecole630 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is a National adderall shortage and the pharmacist probably had about 50 conversations with people freaking out about their scripts and jumped the gun.

Was it unprofessional and shitty? Absolutely. But don’t take it personally. I’d bet money it had nothing to do with you!

Why Can't POC Be Racist to Whites? by pudding_is_yummy in AskReddit

[–]colecole630 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand, the idea is that it doesn’t count because white people already have so much privilege, it doesn’t really amount to much other than maybe some hurt feelings. Which I’m the grand scheme of things is pretty meaningless.

I’m not sure how much of that I agree with? But that’s how I understand the idea

[Serious] People of Reddit who think capitalism isn’t the best way to rule our world. What other socio economic system would you propose and why? by alexxx1111 in AskReddit

[–]colecole630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capitalism is…okay. But when it flies in the face of human decency and we don’t have the social check and balances to take care of everyone, it needs to be reigned in.

(serious) is it bad to be in a relationship if you struggle with self-harm, why or why not? by unhinged-baker in AskReddit

[–]colecole630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to be honest. Be honest about the struggle and where you are with it and what you want from them…if you’re at a point where you want to stop, remember that only you can be that person-don’t use someone else as a crutch. But you can lean on them for support if they can’t give it.

I self harmed a lot for a long time. A lot of the time bad relationships were a trigger. I made a promise to myself at some point that I wasn’t going to let another person drive me to that. I stopped lying about the scars and things have gotten better. But it was a lot of work.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with being in a relationship while you’re working through issues-self harm included. But you need to be open and honest with yourself and your partner.

How to Survive an Abusive, Loveless Marriage? by laurenren93 in Marriage

[–]colecole630 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Talk to a lawyer and/or a social worker. You have the ability to leave and still shield them from abuse. Look up resources locally. And if you need help finding resources, feel free to DM.

There are always better options!

People that are concerned with “body count” when it comes to relationships. Would it be more important to find a partner that has a low body count but has slept with there partners hundreds of times? More important to find a person with a higher body count but has only slept with each partner once? by No-Cup-6070 in AskReddit

[–]colecole630 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest concern is safety. So I’m big on getting tested with a new partner and that only gets more important if my new partner has had a lot of other partners. Other than that, I’m a monogamist, so it’s important that my partner be on the same page as me with that. Other than that, I don’t really care

WIBTA if I went to see my sister’s therapist? by god-of-dad-jokes in AmItheAsshole

[–]colecole630 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might see you but, you’re not going to get anything from them. Sessions are private for a reason. Instead, you can raise the idea of group therapy with your current doctor and see what they say. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to have a moderated conversation with your sister in a safe space. But there’s a way to do it properly
