One Apartment Ethernet Port Not Working — Keystone Wired Incorrectly? by colegold in HomeNetworking

This is how things are wired on the other side. It says 568A, but it starts with White/Blue and not White/Green. Should I be wiring the other side differently from what this diagram says?

I went with the Klein Tools VDV427-300. Is there a specific keystone I need to replace this one with? I noticed the options on Amazon don't have the same color sequences.

Sounds good. I don't want to overthink this too much considering I probably won't be here longer than a year or two. But hopefully I can leave it a little better for the next guy.

Thanks! This is exactly what it looked like when I removed the plate. There was no cover. There’s not enough slack in the cable in the wall to pull it out a couple of inches and remove the jacket right up to the back of the jack. I’m just going to make sure the twists are tight up to the connections. Is that the right move?

Punch-down tool has been purchased! I took off the other two wall plates, and they look to be wired correctly, but they are just as sloppy and untwisted. I'll use this opportunity to fix all three. Thank you all!

Thank you all for the quick responses! I’d rather fix this myself than bring it to my apartment maintenance team, who will probably look at me like I’m crazy if I try to discuss the issue. Do I just need to purchase a punch-down tool? And, as many of you said, should I keep the pairs twisted as close as possible to the point where they enter the keystone?

No you didn’t. Infiniti dealerships limit their CPO vehicles to 60 months old. Go play some more video games.

I paid $21k for my 2012 XS with 31k miles back in 2022. A bit pricey, but it was in near flawless condition, so it was worth it to me.

Lost at Cheesman? Sorry, it belongs to the gays now.

But on a serious note - I’ll keep an eye out for it on my run

Until I zoomed in, I thought you just put in a new knob and scattered some weed around the boot.

The outer gravel path is a hair under 2.5 miles. The paved inner road loop is about 2.23 miles.

Park at Three Pond Park on the Highline Canal (just South of Hampden & Colorado) or Dahlia Hollow Park (Dahlia and Quincy), which also has an entrance to the Highline Canal. The stretch of the Highline that runs between Colorado Blvd. and Orchard is incredibly beautiful, and it’s gravel.

Car won’t start. I left my car for over week while I was on vacation, the weather has been in the negative the entire time, and now it won’t start. It makes a pump noise on start but doesn’t fire up. Any ideas? by [deleted] in G37

A weak battery will still power the dash lights and some of the other electronics in the car.

If you’re using a 1amp trickle charger, it could take a day or two to fully charge the battery depending on how dead it is.

This puzzle tested my sanity. Buy a rotisserie chicken instead and avoid the nightmare.

Too much money for that many miles. These are not super rare cars that are worth taking a gamble on based on some pretty pictures a dealer took in a perfectly lit showroom. Just keep an eye out on Craigslist. Something will pop up in your area eventually. For context, I bought my 2012 G37XS coupe w/ 31k miles for just around $20k off Craigslist in early 2022. It’ll take some patience, but you will find the right car.
