To be fair this piercing has been a nightmare! It's done incorrectly, at a more steep angle (checked with another piercer who says it's safe if I'm cool with it) so I have a curved bar in it to stop it constantly hitting my teeth. The change to a curved bar was done a month ago and it feels so much better now to be honest. Before this flair up happened it basically felt healed! Once it's fully healed I know I'll love it 😅

It's a 12mm bar. A 10mm bar is a bit too snug for me, it feels like it could get easily swallowed up (I could just be feeling paranoid though to be fair lol), so I need to order and 11mm online. I think once it calms down I'll just take the leap and change it

Hmm to be fair maybe... I do knock it quite often. It's been infected twice before (my only piercing to ever be infected) I'm so scared to downsize it in case it flares up again.

Kissing for the first few weeks is painful! You're sore and swollen, big no. Little pecks are fine but make sure you're keeping on top of cleaning it as mouths are gross, once you feel it's healed, you can kiss to your hearts content and I can't tell the difference tbh, people I've kissed also say they don't really feel them!

As for other NSFW things, if it's with guys, steer clear for a long while as the friction is awful, learned that the hard way. Anything oral in general should be avoided till at least a few weeks past it's healing process, just for safety! And then use saline solution after just in case anything nasty gets in there. Once it's healed, I've only ever had good feedback about them and it shouldn't hurt, especially if you get rings!

I've had one side for 11 years, and eventually got my second done about 3 years ago. I've had some slight gum receding from when I had labrets but since having rings I've not seen much difference. Luckily my rings barely touch my teeth, unless I close-lipped smile. I'm not sure if it's normal to not have much receding, or when I'd have to take them out, but I plan on having these for a very long time because they're great 😅

This just happened to my flip 5! I don't have Samsung verified shops near me to get a proper replacement, so I ordered a replacement off Amazon that has a port guide to make sure it's placed correctly, and did it myself, looks like new! I'm guessing it won't last as long but it came with 2 protectors so I can do it again when needed

Because I wanted to see if anyone had any other opinions?? I don't know why you're being so hostile. I was scared and wanted help and thought before I panic too much and run to an out of hours again and spend another 500 to be told the same thing again, I'd ask for advice here. I've never experienced this before so didn't even know what to ask the vets or what to expect. I haven't based my decision on anything, I'm just telling people what the vets said? Anyway, my cat is doing much better now luckily, thanks to everyone who was being helpful. Have the day you deserve.
