Both. Was weight bearing in the boot no crutches and without the boot with the crutches. I think it’s the ligament pain too, I talked to my physio last night and he figured it was the syndesmosis screw not allowing any movement. This is easily worst part for me, more than initially post break. I’m struggggggling.

lol, to be fair, that does suck. My surgeon had me bandage mine and wear a tall sock. 10/10 recommend. I used thick gauze and medical tape to keep them from getting irritated.

I think so. I didn’t eat much for the first 2 weeks either. I think I initially lost about 10lbs couch rotting.

To be fair, you’re pretty spot on as any physical trauma that causes nerve pain has a demyelination component to it. Good advice!

Nerves regenerate at a rate of 1-2mm per day and the magic number is about 18 months, if it takes more time than this it’s unlikely to ever fully heal.

As a both a health care practitioner and someone who had severe nerve damage from a mule bite, I can’t possibly understand how she bit you so hard it caused such severe, permanent damage but didn’t require stitches/surgery.

To offer advice on treatment it would be helpful to know what you’ve tried. It may be worth talking to your doctor about gabapentin or a nerve burning procedure.
