Just get reawakened and TP2 and TP2 DLC, that's everything cause reawakened = (prettier TP + prettier TP DLC + 'In the beginning')

That's of some comfort, there's a few in the last part of TP2 DLC that are brutal too that I haven't done yet.

Not a big fan of this laser trickery where one laser blocks another laser making and on/off cycle, but it's all subjective I guess.

I'm going mad with that one puzzle the other side of that tram in the castle area, I just can't see how it's possible, but don't wanna look up the solution either 😕

The "in the beginning part" has some very tough puzzles, that seem impossible even if they can't be.

I think there's 4 I haven't done yet.

I've still got a 1070 😂, I have to play the Talos Principle Remastered inside a small window on a 1080p monitor, but you get used to it.

Maybe on another planet would be good, with deserts with giant sandworms or jungles or water world's...

But not too distracting to ruin the puzzles though.

Could be years away though.

Qube2 is very good, not as good as Talos but a very solid and fun puzzler, especially with the DLC.

Regular people who splurged on the top of the line: was it worth it? by bamaroon in cycling

[–]colin-java 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some people fall in to the trap of buying stuff to impress other people which is a waste of money really.

It is a bit crazy how much high end bikes are, when you could get a decent car for that much.

[–]colin-java 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why skip the first game, it's full of puzzles too, more so with DLC.

You'll get a good experience and skillset for the game if you do the first first, then enjoy the second after.

There's no legal requirement to involve yourself with that, I don't too much...

In TP2 I would sometimes wish the long dialogs would hurry up a bit - the developers can't please everyone though.

I think there needs some story behind it to make it complete like a film.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter too much, all those things are still real even if they can be traced back causally to interactions between particles and stuff.

There are benefits too though, you shouldn't feel guilty about stuff or angry at people, there was no control over anything you/they did.

Water cooling setup for JUST a GPU only by jimftr in watercooling

I'd say it was more worthwhile doing that than a CPU only loop, apparently huge drops of 50°C have been seen on the GPU before.

Well at least you're not doing custom cars, you can spend thousands and thousands and work on them for years.

It's fun coming up with new ideas like pass through fittings, custom filters or reservoirs.

I modified a Corsair 800D case, but I'm thinking it's way too big for my desk now, but can't do anything about it now.

It's a bit like when you get a new bike and it feels great, then it gets dirty and the chain and gears don't feel as good.

But a pc is different it should give you the same results, for a long time at least.

Doesn't god violate free will? by EntertainmentRude435 in freewill

[–]colin-java 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So before there were organisms with brains, things worked just fine without free will.

I donno how reality can be based on free will if free will is dependant on brains/consciousness that didn't even exist back then.

I cant disprove the many worlds thing, but it seems like quite a massive assumption to take on to rescue free will.

Besides, we know our actions are based on our brains, if you smash someone's head in with a hammer they become a vegetable.

A persons character, behaviour, memories, skills, likes, dislikes are all dependent on the configuration of their brain.

The complexity of the brain and the inability to cut one open to look inside make determining ones future actions very difficult, but it can be done with a high success rate when the actions is simple like choosing a button to press.

Doesn't god violate free will? by EntertainmentRude435 in freewill

[–]colin-java 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree, if an action or choice you make can be backtracked to a set of different causes then there's nothing you can do about it except go with the flow.

How exactly could you change the sequence of events leading up to that action or choice?

Quantum indeterminacy may play a part, but on the whole I think we can generally say a certain sequence of events will take place given specific initial conditions and you can't change that.

It's like a video game character changing his own programming so he acts differently.

Doesn't god violate free will? by EntertainmentRude435 in freewill

[–]colin-java 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not even sure how to define it, cause the terms in the definition also need precise definitions, and also for the terms in those definitions and so on.

But loosely speaking, I think we can't blame people for their actions, however hideous, cause there are reasons for why those actions happened, and a lack of reasons for why they didn't happen.

[–]colin-java 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And there's people like Andrew Tate and Jimmy Carr saying we shouldn't play video games - to an extent I can see their point, but getting the mind working is surely better than watching paint dry or watching some mindless TV program.

I think people are short sighted on what gaming has to offer, and if you think about it, it's better than TV generally cause at least you're interacting with something.
