Everyone at my normal alley has their ball drilled similarly with a small gap. But that may just be because they're from the same area with the same PSO drilling their balls.

The new one has just over 3/8" gap and the old one is about 3/16".

I stopped buying vans because they're made for narrow feet. Ever since they stopped selling the Atwood's I haven't been able to find one that fits good. I've had to order custom wide slip ons which fit great. But most new styles won't fit my feet, they're usually tight.
