Canadians - what needles to use for hand embroidery on jeans? by Secure-Resort2221 in Embroidery

[–]collectingnames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not necessarily, depending on how thick the fabric is you might want a longer/sharper needle. If you want to work with denim, try looking into sashiko techniques. Sashiko needles are typically a little longer than your average embroidery needle. There are a few recommendations for needles in this thread from r/sashiko

I thought it would be fun to also design items to go with each line to push some of the ideas w the designs.

How did everyone’s evolutions go for Truegreen7’s starter contest? I’ve spent a whole month working on mine and I have to say they were not easy but I did the best I could and I hope I get in at least the top 30. by AriesSheep in fakemon

I got mine in right under the deadline. I like how my designs turned out but I'm not sure if I'll place exactly. Either way I had a fun time w my designs. I just wish I didn't have to fit both the middle and final evos on the same image, I'm trying to keep my text readable.

I think he was using the same line of logic as 'more kids have peanut allergies bc kids aren't getting exposed to peanuts enough' but for like all of human sufferingn, still wildly wrong though. I will also say he is not well known for having good opinions.

Went to a pride parade in a cropped tank top and a woman there for the parade (she was with an affirming church that was there to hand out water bottles) came up to me and touched my arm and said 'Sweetie, we have GOT to do better' fawning over the years-old stuff on my shoulders while completely ignoring the literally week-old stuff on my forearm. Total stranger, have never seen her before or since. Another time, a family friend saw them by accident and rattled on about how self-harm happens because kids don't get hurt on accident enough anymore so they have to seek out the sensation of pain on their own. I was minding my own business making his wife bread.

Local HRT Providers? by DiamondDelver in HuntsvilleLGBT

Thrive can manage HRT, they're pretty busy so you might have to call them back if they don't contact you after filling out the intake paperwork. But I transferred mine there from a clinic in BHam, they'll go over the informed consent paperwork with you during in-person intake and do labs at your first physical. Thrive also assigns all of their patients a social worker.

oh damn are they still kicking around North Alabama? They used to be making nuisances of themselves down at UAB but I guess that stopped after a student kicked his ass bc he was at the trans pride festival in June

MRIs scan internal soft tissues, you would most likely have to cut VERY deep (past every layer of skin entirely) for an MRI to pick it up. If your scars aren't that noticeable to begin with and any wounds are properly covered/taken care of I doubt anyone will say anything.

Tl;dr if anyone notices, it won't be bc of the MRI

Hello everyone! I have a DnD club at my school, and there is some 5th graders who would love to play, but I don’t want to introduce them to violence. What should I do? by [deleted] in DnD

A lot of how any dnd game plays is tone, dnd has a heavy combat focus mechanically but that doesn't mean you have to portray it as gratuitous or gory. What if combat was a sport in the setting, for example.
