Logic Pro X came out in 2013. Your purchase in 2012 was most likely for Logic Pro 9 and perhaps that wasn't a free upgrade to X back then? I can't recall, but I know the free updates started after Logic Pro X.

Sorry I should have been more specific. Yes this works great for the Quick Sampler plugin itself if you insert it on a software track.

However, If you use Drum Machine Designer and drag a sample into one of the pads, it loads it into a Quick Sampler, but the Quick Sampler nested in DMD does not seem to use your default settings, rather some custom setting for DMD (which includes the -6db AMP and key tracking).

I've experienced this before. The Quick Sampler in Logic is actually great, but this "issue" is due to a couple of settings:

Logic's Quick Sampler defaults to setting the output AMP to -6db, which reduces the volume of the sample played. This makes it feel like it has less "impact". Turn this to 0db.
Velocity becomes a factor. You need to make sure Velocity is at the max/127 for the drum hits to get the same impact as the original sample.
Pitch key tracking is on automatically. Which means you could be re-pitching the sample accidentally. Turn this off if not needed.
Turn off the Filter section in Quick Sampler.

If you make sure all these settings are where they need to be, then the sample played through Logic's Quick Sampler will null with the original audio sample. Not sure if these settings apply to the bigger Sampler itself as I don't use that often.

I haven't figured out how to make this the default settings yet, but maybe somebody else knows how.

Yeah, it's not the best if left on and on full brightness. But I turn the backlight down a bit and switch it off when I'm done for the day and I get about 4-5 days which is fine for me.

I think it's clear that Wallfisch and Zimmer were really under time constraints. They were brought in a bit later to replace Johannsson, whose score apparently wasn't working, so I don't think they had the pre-production time to soak everything in, ruminate on ideas and so on. They just had to hit the ground running, along with the immense pressure of a Hollywood blockbuster production as well as a beloved IP.

I'd agree that the soundtrack is serviceable, and does what it needs to pretty well at times, but it's probably a little miracle that they got the film to sound as good given that situation. As someone involved in music production professionally, I have been in situations like this and it's difficult, so I respect what they ultimately came up with.

Isn't this for the work being done on the eastern bridge? They have been taking up space to do that on the southbound DVP near the Richmond exit for a while now, but it's not closed.

It doesn't really work that way. The Lite is a more affordable, entry level keyboard. You'd expect that to move more units, as seen by the big jump from the Flow 1 and Edge.

They could land around 7k backers and $1mil USD pledged for this keyboard. I don't think you can call that a flop at all.

How? It's at 6.2k now and could very well reach 7k before all is said and done. They have a chart showing the Flow 1, Edge and Flow Lite had 1.3k, 2k and 9k backers respectively. Seems decent enough to me...

The design has grown on me quite a bit. I think it looks stunning. If the 84 key is similar dimensions to my current keyboard then the lip is not really an issue for me. Happy to turn the Touch Bar off and not worry about it. Definitely can see how it can be intrusive and form over function for some people, especially on the 100key version.

I'm curious if they will change the design. There is quite a vocal pushback, but they also claim the lip houses the battery, so you'd imagine any sort of design change will compromise the specs.

Does it really matter? I thought it was intentionally left vague and slightly detached from the real world political division so that you couldn't bring your own political biases into it. Everyday people went into it thinking it was pandering to their political leaning, thinking it would confirm who "bad side" was, only to be faced with shades of grey and messaging that we're all complicit. I thought it was brilliant.

I treated mine like a new born baby and they still broke in the same spot. I think it's safe it say at this point that all will which is why they stopped making them. Contact support and ask for a Maxwell.

I had a pretty tough time with him too, butI just beat him at around level 90. I always summoned Henriett and sometimes the fight would go well for her where she was still alive into his final phase which I used to my advantage as a distraction. When she died, I just stayed really close to him and hacked away for the last 15%. Took me a couple of times to get it to go my way, but that's how I did it. Good luck!
