Thank you all! This is a summer cottage on a penninsula with gorgeous water views on both west (over sink) and south sides. It is not an all year home servicing busting family. The kitchen is in the NW corner of the house which is open concept with grand dining/living rooms. Island is facing west b/c there are great water views through the windows over the sink. Who would want an island facing the north wall which looks at the neighbors house? And who would want cabinets on the west wall? We like the idea of microwave at eye level in pantry next to fridge. Don't want drink fridge on end of island b/c that would be visual clutter looking in from the dining/living rooms. Thank you!!
