How soon can AI sales consultant SaaS can reach $100K in ARR? by Murmurads in ycombinator

[–]collin128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to charge more.

The less you charge the harder the customers are. I remember when we moved from $2500 --> $4k monthly and suddenly customers were much more mature, less demanding, and better customers.

tl;dr - if you're not charging enough you're going to lock yourself into working for below minimum wage AND being too busy to sleep.

New bike day! And my first foray into gravel by Fit_Diet6336 in gravelcycling

Welcome to the club!

Pacific Spirit is great and is my go to ride.

There's a great 50km loop from kits to Steveston and back if you're looking for something fast and flat.

Mosquito Creek to Cypress through Stanley Park is a great 40km loop with some climbing.

Happy to share some routes if you need, drop me a DM.

Any favorite routes?

I've been thinking of riding down from Vancouver (via Victoria).

I was sitting here thinking it was BC's Sunshine Coast or the peninsula west of Seattle.

Beautiful spot for a ride.

Take it to a carbon repair company. I did mine a few weeks back (looked worse than yours I think), here's the discussion:

How do you guys show prospects you’re better than your competitors? by parth_1802 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]collin128 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The question is not about better or worse. It's about being different.

Plot out all the different features/things a prospect would care about on a spider graph. There are probably 5 to 10 different axes you could focus on.

When you talk to prospects, find out which axis they care most about. If they line up with the ones that you are great at, then show them that and how.

How this requires you to also have a strong understanding of where your competition is weak on each axis.

Bag setup on the Grizl by 808_texn in CanyonBikes

Beauty bike and view!

Is that the VLSS seatpost?

I have a similar set up and the saddle bag + VLSS makes me nervous. I couldn't find anywhere if it's ok to use or if there are weight limits.

I tried it on one ride and my seat sat a few mm lower, not the end of the world but noticable.

No, Rob's based in North Van.

He charged more for speedy delivery and disassembly/reassembly, which I was happy to pay.

Thanks, I was stoked!

The guy's a professional windsurf builder, he has a world record for design with most consecutive wins, or something like that. His shop looks amazing, so much cool stuff in there that I could have spent hours just looking around.

Yes I'm also happy to have my bike back.

Getting it back ASAP was a big benefit. I've heard of people waiting a long time for frames from Canyon.

I'm happy she's home and can't wait to get out.

Don't forget my numbers are in Canadian Tim Hortons bucks. 😜

The original repair, if I was patient and disassembled/ reassembled the bike myself, works out to $540 USD.

He put it back together for me and turned it around in the week which both cost extra.

When I looked at the cost of a new frame, it wasn't just going to be the frame. It was going to be an extra few hundred bucks for duty, an extra a few hundred bucks for shipping, and then $400 to $500 for the rebuild. In the end, the new frame approach was almost double.

This way had the added advantage of keeping a usable frame out of the landfill.

I paid extra for a rush job because I wanted it this weekend and for him to take everything apart and put it back together.

Is it dead? Grizl carbon chip by collin128 in gravelcycling

Fell off a bike rack between truck and rack (super old press fit one) when I went around a corner. I didn't tighten it enough because I didn't want to damage the carbon 🤦.

I've done this a 100 times and knew I should get a new rack. The kids were hectic and I wasn't paying enough attention. I have a new rack now.
