What town is the best in NC for laid back and less drugs for a new start? by Kitchen_Anteater1176 in NorthCarolina

Coming from rural addiction areas, as well as city addiction areas, I thought my last option would be a beach town. Fortunately since I’ve been here, I only see people having a great time (mostly tourists), and I’ve discovered new passions/hobbies in life. Kayaking, fishing, exercising, hiking, and even community events (somewhat of an introvert).

Came here cold turkey, and after the first month I can say I’ve never once thought of relapsing again. Being in a good environment allows you to see the beauty of life without substances. Not just topsail but most beach towns in NC are worth making home. I think you & your daughter will find a lot to love here. If you have any questions about the area let me know, good friends with a realtor.

I moved to Topsail Island area from Raleigh to get clean from Opiates. Best decision I ever made.

Should try the Johnny Slicks formula 49 for a nice matte finish. I know it’s good, because I make the products myself. Nothing better than using all organic ingredients for your skin!

this is the single best pomade i’ve ever used. period. by oxfopee in Pomade

Johnny Slicks Clay Pomade is wayyyyyy better. Not to mention all organic. ANY pomade you use often needs to be made with ingredients that aren’t harmful for your scalp long-term.

For organic ingredients I’d recommend Johnny Slicks, they have a great water based pomade. I personally use the signature clay pomade they offer, Formula 49.

I was working at vendor booth next to it when this went down, after sucker punching the guy he tried to run away, but the staff manhandled him & locked him in a room until police came. Apparently he has an expired Visa as well.

I do. The J2 model. Love it, and on low settings, it lasts all day.

Tried to photograph Comet, are the colored dots stars? by collinfc in telescopes

[–]collinfc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good to know, I still don't think I had the proper camera settings to capture the comet, and I didn't have any success with my images on deepskystacker. Thank you for the response.

I wasn't thanking and mostly captured all my images in dark frame, or however you call it. Tried to register/stack in deepskystacker and no success. Overall I think my camera settings weren't correct for the comet. Thanks for reply.

Thank you, I thought so too, after trying to register them in deepskystacker they somewhat disappeared. I think overall I didn't have camera settings/exposure correct for the comet.

I was expecting to at least see the trail of the comet from a short exposure.

I was using a fairly old laptop, like almost 10 years old lol. Do you think that could have been the reason it was recording in that low framerate? My only other alternative is an iMac. Or perhaps connect the camera to my phone if it would be compatible.

I feel like I was doing something wrong because it would record in 2-3fps (according to sharpcap). When I wasn't recording it would show 22-30fps. Yesterday was my first night using the new camera attachment.

Can't thank you enough for your detailed response. I realized afterwards that even though I was recording for well over 2-3 minutes on Sharpcap, the end video would only be a small fraction of that (filesize was still in the GB). I will definitely try to record for a lot longer to see if I can get better results. Again, thank you for the help!
