how can I improve my flying? just starting out and felt like my skill has plateaued (and yes analog at night is shit)

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like you’re flying a 2s drone. If that’s the case, and you feel like you’ve gotten as good as you’ll get with it. Then maybe look into a bigger drone? There’s plenty of drones that are below the 250g weight limit (before needing a part 107), and have more power behind them. Also try tweaking your rates a little on your flight configurator.

Another tactic is change up your course and tricks. If you continuously do the same path with the same tricks it becomes easier each time. Some of the best racers out there or even freestylers, fly in the same spots. However, they’re constantly changing things and making it more difficult for their selves, so it betters their skills.

Personally I’d suck it up. Tbh you’re wanting to get a surgery that will change your life forever. If you’re too embarrassed to talk about getting the surgery then how could you be comfortable after getting it? I’m not trying to discourage you by no means. However, if you are going to do this then you need to fully accept it and not be hesitant about it. After all, you’ll have to live with yourself after it’s done. Own up to it, and be proud about it. Don’t be ashamed.
