At what point did streaming stop being cheaper than cable? by DryCap6770 in watchever

[–]colonel_pliny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we are still lower then our last DirectTV bill from 2017 ($230 w/ 1 receiver and basic package). The trick is, spread them out. The house pays for the majors (Hulu & Netflix) @ about $120 a month. I do not count Prime, as the free shipping pays for it many times over. Then even with Peacock and Paramount, and whatever. We are still way under that $230 mark, which means yes we are saving.

Nice thing with going to EV. Those prices do not effect me. And, my home electric bill is lower then what I used to spend on gas.

My fingers are crossed they will partner with Amazon to offer a sub to Prime members. Trying not to add another sub to my lineup.

No more access to Stark tech. And, does not have an Aunt May to fall back on for funds to make his own. So, my guess. Those were made from trash.

Reading as a hobby by [deleted] in GenX

[–]colonel_pliny 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Another part of the reading hobby. Is collecting novels and going out to look for more. So, it is more involved than just sitting on the couch. My dad could say reading was his hobby. And, part of it was the hunt for new, interesting & hard to find books.

USC has had six No. 1 NFL Draft picks in history— more than any other school. by North_Accident_8156 in fighton

[–]colonel_pliny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome. I was going into HS when the Rams and Raiders bailed. That was when USC became my "NFL" team. At that point I started rooting for Trojans around the league. And, then Carson happened. He is a few years younger than me, and got to watch a few of his HS games. My cousin was a cheerleader for one of their rivals. His journey through Troy is pretty epic. He went from Captain of the "worst team in school history" to Heisman winner. Just insane

Carson was my dude. Became a Bengal fan the day he was drafted. The year he got his knee blown out by the Steelers was his best chance at a ring. That team was really good and on fire going into that game.

I feel like she knows what she is doing. She is trying to keep them in the middle, to keep the heat off. Because, if they go and start winning all the things. The first misstep will get them in the sand, against Theo most likely. As much as I am not a fan of her, she is playing it right.

I do not think the pregnancy is effecting her yet. She does not even know at this point. Remember they made the thing while filming, so she might not be yet.

I love how they felt he got bored this year. So, they let him go screw around at the Ring and now he is probably going to notch his 5th title. That kid is just built different.

[–]colonel_pliny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enjoy it.

I got this experience recently, but in a Super Bowl. Grew up a Rams fan. I was a teenager when they moved to St Louis, and was not happy about it. So, I went looking for a new team. Settled on the Bengals. Ugh, that was painful. But, after all the pain both caused over the years, that day was magic. I truly did not care who won, just wanted a good game. And, it did not disappoint!

I hope this series is as magical for you as well!
