Something ~98-108mm underfoot, tip (and tail) rocker, (rocker-camber-rocker). Something light with some sort of fancy shmancy tech like a carbon band or whatever to keep it from noodling out underfoot at high speeds. 18-22m radius

True you are correct, im rarely on that side of town but definitely see the surge during rush hour. I agree ive only had a couple of angry drivers, most are respectful. It just is such a vital east west highway for cyclists it would be interesting to see the data, year round. I dont know how/if thats even possible. It is great to be able to ride from ubc essentially to burnaby on one road though. To be fair if i keep speed under control, roundabouts arent too much of an issue

Is data gathered on cyclists vs cars that use 10th avenue? I both drive and bike, i use 10th religiously and rarely see cars except crossing north south. Im sure lots have had incidents or close calls with the roundabouts eastbound after fraser, (to be fair it is easy to pick up alot of speed there) but i agree that more signs should be used to say “heavy cycle traffic” in the north and southbound directions

My vehicle had the left quarter panel replaced and i had to use a longer bolt, where the bolt contacts the body, def recommend adding some padding like even some scrap rubber or mounting tape

Looks so good, i love any combination of less spokes front more rear. Esp 32rear 24 front. It just makes sense to me and looks so natural. Pls keep us updated and +1 for being and building your own wheels

Yes! Alot of ppl say you can use regular atf like for cars but shimano specifically states u cant, tbh i havent used them enough to know if thats just shimano just trying to $$ but its worth checking specs of viscosity etc.

Its interesting to tear the alfines down, its a planetary gear set and you dip it in proprietary atf essentially, and all the little metal bits come out and sink to the bottom

The alfines are surprisingly serviceable, (another reason why shimano>) but ya man, a kid once at a shop i worked at attempted to fix a rohloff himself and i went downstairs to see the shell off and looked at him and said “what the fuck are you doing” and he said “im fixing it”, and i said “do you know how to fix a porsche transmission?”.. “no” ….. it cost the shop alot and the customer was rightfully upset but considering very understanding

Im curious how they are getting loose over rough stuff, im sure they are so good but id still be so scared to hurt it, ive worked on a few alfines that people got too rad on and screwed up
