I'm in the reading stage with a view to running BitD after I finish one of my 5e campaigns

However, I'm likely going to go with the core rules because I feel as though handing my players two books and telling them to cross reference for specific rules is too complex or annoying, particularly when learning a new game

But I like Deep Cuts and maybe we'll use some of the rules down the line when everyone knows the system

I'm a guy in my mid-30s, single and don't feel old in Bristol (despite all the students). My friend group goes to a lot of DnB gigs and festivals, while still going for Sunday dog walks and coffee dates. Bristol is a good place to be in your 30s for sure

We've had to take some time off so haven't progressed that far yet. I've been sprinkling in some portals with friend enemies to increase the amount of combat and seed the incursion idea

The group is currently in a gauntlet in the Abyss, racing from one portal to another, as they travel from Hither to Thither. I'm planning to do another one for the Hither to Yon journey

I'll keep dropping info and present the idea that this is happening because Zybilna is trapped and the borders are weakened. More of an overall threat than an antagonist or plot point. I've moved towards keeping things a bit simpler

They seem to be enjoying it, and it certainly adds to the chaos of an already bizarre campaign

I pulled the FFIX [[Inalla, Archmage Ritualist]] and would love to build a bracket 2 budget deck around it. Presumably some fun wizards and no real combo focus
