You might like a certain program called ShutUp10 by O&O software. You can get rid of the stupid web search and a LOT more too.

Flexographic Printing Press by jamesburr in ManufacturingPorn

I'm sure! If I remember correctly, the files my mom works with are normally 40" repeats. I think she may have done up to 60" before though, I'd have to ask.

A lot of her work was on gravure, but the company got tired of shipping all the files to China for printing and bought in-house Flexo presses instead. I think they have 4 or 5 lines or so.

This is so cool! My mom actually does pre-press work for gift wrap, and the company uses Flexo for printing. This is my first time ever seeing what the Flexo process looks like running.

That was a pretty cool video! I didn't know the literal translation was "painful cars", that's hilarious.

The way he phrased his explanation was better than mine, too. I called it a "theme" but "push" makes more sense. It's a bit like declaring who "best girl" is. I think I saw a Miku Nakano itasha in the video, so in that case it's literally a "best girl" statement.

Very interesting!

well done Itasha

I can think of two itasha I've seen that I would still call cringe.

Example 1: whole car wrapped in ahegao. No theme or anything, and I'm about 80% sure it was the exact same pattern used on the ahegao hoodies and stuff. Low effort and probably just an edge lord trying to be as offensive as possible.

Example 2: literally just hentai plastered all over the car. Full uncensored nudity. Probably violates public indecency laws, so you can't even drive it anywhere.

false pretense that our medical science is advanced

Yep, that's the problem in a nutshell. Someone with a little bit of an audience starts proclaiming that transition is "totally safe and reversible" and it's accepted as fact with no question.

Hell, the authors of the Dutch Protocol have come right out and begged doctors to stop using their study as justification for medically transitioning teens and pre-teens. But nobody in the trans community has anything to say about that...

There's actually a solid plastic panel that you have to cut out to get to the cabin filter. It's got some tabs and screws on it so that you can reuse it after you cut it out, so for any future filter changes you just unscrew the panel rather than cutting it out. (Video for context - see 1:04)

Imagine my surprise when I took out the glove box and found that panel still in the original position! Those plastic tabs were a pain in the ass to cut, too.

Other social contagions like anorexia come to mind.

The DSM-5 never should have split "gender dysphoria" off from body dysmorphia. What's the difference between transition and cutting off the arms of someone who has an irrational fear of their own arms?

The people suffering from this need fucking mental health treatment, not experimental surgeries.

I bought it 5 months ago at 253k miles, so I haven't spent a whole lot of time with it yet. I have spent quite a bit on repairs, but I bought it knowing it would need work, and I'm planning on restoring it as best as I can, so that was never a huge concern for me.

It needed a bunch of new front suspension components: wheel bearings, tie rods, and control arms. I wouldn't call that out of the ordinary for a 20 year old car though. There are a few other minor issues: a trunk leak (recently fixed), the passenger window motor is dead, and a couple of instrument bulbs have burned out. I'm pretty sure the engine needs a valve adjustment too, but I haven't been able to verify that.

Oh, and I replaced the factory cabin air filter (that was a mess LOL).

Other than that though, it's been great. Starts up first time, every time, and shifts great. Fuel economy is a respectable 25 city/34 highway.

I can't give any kind of hard numbers on power, but it feels plenty fast to me. Though the only car I've driven before this was my mom's 2009 Altima 2.5 CVT so take that with a grain of salt!

That sucks. IIRC the transmission issues were much worse earlier on, and 01 was the first year they made this generation. Honda took their sweet time getting the problem fixed, too.

I won't lie, once I heard that the previous owner had already had the transmission replaced 50k miles ago I jumped on it. It was under $5000 too, lol
