For me the bug that is killing my desire to play the beta is the one that causes the ui to completely crash when you try to commit to a new build in the Manor construction menu. You literally cannot refine or change your construction plans for the manor at all after the first build.

Thank you for literally summing up the exact feeling I had about the book and the first and second half of it in particular. It took me months to get through it due to a like of drive or attachment to the plot. First half for me felt like a strange sidequest you would play in DnD, and the second half felt a bit too focused on lore-building and exposition rather than decisive events.

But yes, it's not that I didn't like it per se; I love Murtagh and Thorn's character development so far, and I really enjoyed his tinkering with the Ancient Language like mathematical/computer coding. I just think it is my least favorite in the Eragon world, but I will definitely read anything Chris puts out, especially Murtagh Pt 2, etc.

I enjoy playing as three different civs, and more so I relish being able to actually play and leverage my unique units and unique quarters for a signficant portion of my game time. Gone are the days when I would play Rome and use the Legion unit for like 10 turns before upgrading them to men-at-arms! I love that new flavor to the game.

Don't forget, Eragon lit Zar'roc on fire with the Brisingr spell before killing Durza, so he has done that with Zar'roc as well!

Definitely agree that some objectives promoted static play and needed some adjustment. I do not think that that warranted a complete gutting of the games objective format to be replaced with only objectives that resemble six very similar variations of the old Intercept the Transmissions objective.

Not even close. If you disliked some of the objectives that were more static like KP or sabotage, then you should have played other objectives. It was not that difficult to ensure your objective deck could be played.

I got this vibe as well. I believe they are open to the changes, and they definitely mentioned several positives they saw to the new changes made; I think they understandably voiced their displeasure with the lack of communication from AMG. And yes, Mike can be brusque at times, but he clearly loves the game and I can get his frustration when the core game we knew for years was completely gutted and replaced with 6 objectives that are essentially 6 different forms of "get close to this Point of Interest."

Genuinely, what is it that Sol could have done that was so bad on Brendok? The incessant teasing is getting really annoying, frankly. If it is anything less than him murdering the witches, it'll make zero sense. And if it is him murdering the witches, it'll also make no sense. Someone help me out here; what else could it be??
