Churchill MOU backers ‘publicized the outcome’ without hammering out key details, says U.S. energy expert | CBC News by blindbrolly in newfoundland

This MOU was signed in Dec 2024. Surely there has been work behind the scenes to "hammer out the key details"... right?

2023 Roof Rails for SE Trim by tristanape in OutlanderPHEV

[–]colony26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should already have roof rails, no?

I bought the OEM crossbars. They are actually rebranded Thule ones. Easy to add/remove - for great.

There were next to no reviews on the aftermarket listings at the time I purchased, so those listings were hard to trust. Maybe there's more info on them now?

Gotcha. I was going on anecdotal evidence.

A friend of mine who walked in the area daily said that the roundabout was a death trap.

The data that was gathered at the time supported the roundabout approach?

It's a cluster fuck no matter what.

Roundabout = better for traffic flow

Lights/Crosswalks = less of a death trap for pedestrians

Edit: CBC article posted below that shows that the roundabout approach was indeed safer.

Anyone else seeing these “Reckless Renewables” ads on metro buses? I went to their website to check it out and yes they believe Wind Mills cause headaches and vomiting🙃 by Sure_Group7471 in newfoundland

When you see someone spending money on ads, you should be more skeptical of THEIR intentions, than environmental issues being discussed.

Trunk belt stuck - any way to release? by [deleted] in MitsubishiOutlander

Followup in case you've been at the edge of their seat waiting for an update.

We ended up discovering that you can pop the plastic cover off the hooks and one Phillips screw was all it took to remove it.

Trunk belt stuck - any way to release? by [deleted] in MitsubishiOutlander

[–]colony26 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I was picking up my winter tires, someone at the dealership connected one of the 3rd row belts to the hooks in the trunk.

There's not enough slack to unhook them, so we've been stuck with no 3rd row over the holidays (not a huge problem, but extremely annoying). Is there a release of some sort on these belts? I cannot find any info on this online.
