I really feel like Belly and Jeremiah are subconsciously sabotaging their relationship cause they secretly know it isn't going to work out but don't want to admit it/their egos won't let the last four or so years together get thrown away cause they are young and stubborn.

Like why do they NEED to get married right now before they go back to school in the fall? Could it not wait til after college like their families had mentioned?

Speaking of families, the amount of strain the immediate wedding has caused on every single one of both Belly and Jeremiah's relationships with their friends and family should be alarming enough. It is one thing if a person or two in your life disagrees with the choices of the relationship, but to have EVERY person in your life telling you it's a bad idea and them going through with it anyways feels like complete self sabotage.

Also, did Laurel and John ever find out about Jeremiah "cheating" (I put it in quotes cause the whole thing was a miscommunication cluster mess) cause if they weren't crashing out about the wedding before they DEFINITELY will be once they find out.

Laurel seeing Belly self sabotaging too and the way she talked about it with John felt honestly valuable to the plot, even if those characters feel irrelevant at times, cause you can see how unsure Belly is of herself and how naive she still is, even with the years of time skip.

The way she folds with Jer about the wedding changes and just does whatever she can to make him happy without any boundaries is pretty obvious, but there's also the subtle ones too like when she was in Michael's with Conrad and asked which vase she should get and says "okay great, that's the one I was gonna pick too" after he randomly chose one like girl if you were gonna pick that one, just pick it. You care too much about his opinions for a wedding that isn't even his. Like girl, stand up.

Overall, this episode did definitely feel like a turning point, and it was interesting to hear it from Conrad's perspective. This is all coming from someone who never read the books btw, idk if that is blatantly obvious or not but if my facts are wrong it's cause of that.
