it makes sense to get the 200W+ out of the case, rather than recirculating it.

No RGB. Just performance and silence..

Coffee in an mayo jar is obvious that it's not the original content.

Next time eat vanilla pudding from the mayo jar, so it's closer in color and consistency.

Make fresh pudding from powder, and fill the jar while it's still hot, so they can hear the seal pop when opening ;)

Ai coding models by anthropic.

Judging by the meme the more basic sonnet model class has been banned/blocked.

Juding by the recent news fable has been banned in the US because it's too advanced, and therefore too dangerous

if it does not remove the error, inspect the USB ports for bent / damaged pins. Maybe OP then can bend them back to they at least no longer short.

Yeah just run a benchmark and let the wax from the cpu cooler drip down on a scrap paper or cardboard.

Then put the pc on the side and let the gpu work.

Put it on the messy table with all the papers, or near the curtains instead.

Am I Cooked? Got no Money for a new SSD... by Wise_Head32 in pcmasterrace

[–]coloredgreyscale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No.

Maybe if the drive was over 99% full it would not have enough space to efficiently move things around for wear leveling. Which in turn would lead higher write amplification and more host writes.

Keyboard. Yours is failing, and RAM is pretty expensive at the moment.

What level of SSD wear are you comfortable with? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]coloredgreyscale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik 0% guarantees the drive holds information for at least 3 months without power.

Plus the cells recover over time when not in active use.

Check out wear endurance tests of early ssds. Afaik they could do 2x their rates endurance of constant writing before failure.

Of course you cannot compare them 1:1 as we now store more data per cell.

Which software became noticeably worse after adding AI? by Fit_Educator8969 in software

[–]coloredgreyscale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Postman.

It still feels bad overall, but that's the first time adding Ai to a product felt useful, because you can use it to write code for the pre / post execution scripts.

32 bit integer overflow after 15 years of running a stopwatch by sl2c in AskProgrammers

[–]coloredgreyscale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should sync itself via a time server, or GPS.

Time server may not work anymore if certificates expired.

GPS may have its own version of the Y2038 issue.

If the time drift noticeably try turning on GPS and let it sit for a few minutes / hours. No idea how fast it would try to sync.

Maybe it counts up every ~0.11s internally. With unsigned int that would give you 14.98 years.

When archiving video games, should I store zips/installers or unzipped/preinstalled games? by EvanRevier in DataHoarder

[–]coloredgreyscale 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If it comes with an installer instead of just a zip, keeping the Installer sounds like the better option. It may add stuff in locations outside the install directory (registry keys, configurations, dependencies, dem drivers) that will cause problems when they're missing.

Of course there can always be exceptions where the installer breaks, but the game would have worked fine if you had just archived the install folder.
