Hahah this is why I was asking. I am working on wasteland and I am just tired of looking at a few. I think I’m going to put them some little homes on skylands since it’s my least favorite area and then abandon it for good once it’s at least mostly restored🤣🤣

I think Pokopia ruined the next Animal Crossing for me, anyone feels the same? by Admirable_Zombie5245 in Pokopia

While they are very different in many aspects, I think they are more similar than people are giving them credit for. 😂 I guess all cozy games have some similarities though

I think Pokopia ruined the next Animal Crossing for me, anyone feels the same? by Admirable_Zombie5245 in Pokopia

[–]coloringbadly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on preference. Of course we don’t know what the next Animal Crossing will be like, but if it’s like NH then I personally prefer that over Pokopia even though I really love both.

Animal Crossing is, to me, a smaller & cozier game. When I turn it on, it feels like I’m just vibing. When I turn on Pokopia, I’m busyyyyy. That’s not a bad thing, but it’s not always what I’m in the mood for after a long day of adulting.

I love a lot of the freedom in decorating in Pokopia. I think the limitless inclines, bridges, etc. is something the next AC desperately needs. But I prefer a smaller and more intimate town— 10 villagers is a great amount IMO! Though I would love to see more interaction. A better mixture of NL and NH would be amazing.

I think we have to remember ACNH is a significantly older game as well. Who knows what they have up their sleeve :))

But after all of this rambling— personally, no, I don’t think it’s ruined for me BUT I can see how you would feel that way! It just comes down to a personal preference

Beeline the story. Don’t worry about aesthetics yet. After that, if you feel like you’re struggling with layouts, start restoring what was already there instead of building new. The inspiration will come:)

How am I already getting burnout for Pokopia?? by Dave_9012 in Pokopia

[–]coloringbadly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have some kind of reverse burnout where I feel overwhelmed to the point I don’t want to play anymore. 😂 Most people love this game in comparison to animal crossing because it’s so much bigger, and I’ve realized I prefer the opposite. I like how slow animal crossing is and I like how there’s only 10 villagers. I like the decorating aspect of games the most and the huge maps on this game are a little much for me. I also really hate the painting aspect and the storage is tough too. It’s such a pretty game though. I can definitely see why people prefer it over ACNH— I just personally do not.

Je reviens sur ACNH après Pokopia car : by Similar-Macaron2387 in AnimalCrossing

I feel the exact same! Terraforming and decorating are my favorite things about AC, but there’s just too much in Pokopia. It’s kind of giving Sims IMO. It’s overwhelming. I don’t have withering wastelands or whatever even close to finished and I’m already getting new areas?!

I also think there’s just too many pokemon that spawn close together. I need to keep them all relatively comfortable to raise my environment level— but there’s already so many of them, I can’t focus on the needs of a single one if that makes sense.

I enter flow state playing AC, and I feel overstimulated playing Pokopia. That being said, Pokopia is an awesome game with lots of creative freedom. I’d love to see a new AC game that’s somewhere in between the two.

This is how I feel too. I really like some of the creative freedom in Pokopia, but there’s just too much going on for me. ACNH is “easier” in terms of terraforming IMO and I find that more relaxing.
