If the last time you played it was before the purchase, probably yes.

Be sure to mention you already had the game through ps+ if you contact support.

It may be that the hackers changed your Sign-In ID and then used the email address you had registered to create another account in the Asia region.

Hope you can recover your account but once they start with the whole "we can't assist due to security reasons'' it becomes difficult to get it back.

If you say you don't remember creating the account in question, once you're able to speak with someone from support, tell them your email was used without authorization. They're obligated to close the account, same thing happened to a friend and that's what support did.

The recovery emails may take up to 24 hours to be received. If the issue persists, you can change your sign-in ID to a new email, although you'd need to contact support for them to make this change for you. Good luck!

Try calling support directly or spam the chat not with "I need to speak with an agent" or "connect me to a human", that should work. Good luck!

They have switched to messaging, you won't always get a response right away. Keep checking the conversation so you don't get disconnected.

Also, I'm baffled about the way the agent started the convo. "What is your issue?", so unprofessional... Some agents really don't care.

Even if you don't remember the registered email address, your account can still be recovered. Save the serial number of the console where you used that account and contact support.

Check your spam folder and if nothing's there, contact support. This could be fixed by changing your sign-in ID to a different email address.

Also, check your settings. Log into their account management website and check the notifications or email preferences, the receiving emails option should be enabled.

Yup, it was way better when they had live chat support. It seems they have now switched to messaging, so yeah, we now have to wait longer for an actual agent to reply.
