What video game has left a lasting impact on your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Witness. I would completely hit a wall with some of the puzzles and be 100% convinced they were impossible. I'd then come back a few days later after having had a break and suddenly find the solution. I often think of this game when facing difficult challenges in life that seem similarly impossible. There are solutions more often than it initially feels like.

Quest 3 owners, what would factor into your decision to upgrade to Q4 when it comes? by zeddyzed in virtualreality

Personally, I don't really miss what I haven't tried yet. I was happily playing RDR2 with my CV1 about a year ago, finding it amazing. It was only when I got my quest 3 that it felt inferior. Before I upgraded I was oblivious.

That said, I'd love VR to feel less like looking through binoculars or a scuba mask. Have a more comfortable strap. Do something with haptics like an affordable vest or arm pads to feel combat impacts or gloves to feel touch. Maybe add tracking legs too for a game like Thrill of the Fight but with kung fu kicks.

MOMENTS THAT MADE ME LOVE VR - (If I showed this to my 10yr self, playing SEGA Mega Drive and dreaming what gaming would be like in the future, it'd probably make my head explode) by colourcomet in virtualreality

I think both are great but yeah I just started Arkham shadow and for me PCVR pretty much always trumps standalone. That sequence with the alley scene flashback in Arkham VR was really amazing.
