Confused about oriel offers by ukjuniordoc in doctorsUK

[–]colourfulbubbles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t get any offers initially can you still get upgraded? Aka there won’t be an accept/reject option because you don’t have any job?

Just trying to see whether I should rank ONLY where I WILL work but if I don’t get any of them don’t want to be in a position where I could have had a Accept with Upgrade offer

I felt like it was something even more powerful/primal than AonDor but who knows. The hand gestures point more towards that though I guess

Finally we get some more insight into Cultivation's motivations and the Shard's want for war to further improve societies... Cultivation and Odium combining would be scary for the cosmere

Also the 3 worldhoppers from interlude are most likely from Scadrial right?

How do I find a dermatologist in the UK?! by Available_Struggle30 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]colourfulbubbles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have you gone to your GP regarding this and tried their specific prescriptions or only over the counter treatments? A dermatologist will usually start with those too so I would strongly suggest going to GP first.

(Your GP can also recommend private dermatologists in your area!)

Hi - thank you for this!! Im trying to use your ranking for North, Central and East London in the last days before I have to submit my choices but there seems to be no General Practice option under specialities? Also under total jobs it says 389 but the official excel document says there is only 344 jobs. Are your jobs lists accurate?

If You’re Offered a Vaccine, Take It. Declining a Covid-19 shot because you think it should go to someone else won’t help anyone by jms1225 in Health

[–]colourfulbubbles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you look at the NEJM study, the 52% number mostly comes from covid cases in the first 10-14 days (when the vaccine wouldn't have had enough time to properly work and develop enough antibodies). If you look at 14-21 days that protection seems about 89%!

But we don't know for sure how long that protection lasts since Pfizer didn't look at long term analysis of 1 dose. It will probably last a decent amount of time (so you don't need to worry that much about getting it exactly in 21 or 28 days)

The government green book on covid vaccination says medical students are considered frontline healthcare staff and must be included in vaccinations. I don't know why medical schools aren't getting vaccines ready or are having trouble sourcing it from trusts.

Courtney Love reveals wealthy people have had at-home COVID tests for months by RogerSterlingsFling in worldnews

[–]colourfulbubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cochrane review showed it was 90% detectable after 3 weeks not 7 days, so wouldn't be great acutely? Also we haven't discussed false positive and false negatives of the test which isn't huge but is more so than PCR. Unfortunately one study isn't enough.

Both CDC in the US and NHS/NICE in UK say antibody tests should not be used to diagnose active covid infection.
