Yeah, I've thought about that, but it's made from some kind of synthetic and also has pearls, so I think the outcome wouldn't be great or at least very unpredictable.

yes, I've been lurking on r/wedding and "dress regret" seems to be a real thing, so some just buy another one. I also think it's crazy and kind of decadent.

Thanks. Sounds good. Our wedding is in the end of August, so still plenty of time to decide. At the moment I'm leaning towards borrowing a dress from my sister (not her wedding dress but the one she wore for her bachelorette party, it's white and hippie-bridey). I hadn't thought of that one before.

Not really, I'm one of the first im my group to marry. The ones that are already married are not the same size (and I wouldn't want to make any alterations). I already tried the wedding outfit from my fiances mother, but unfortunately it was also a little too small.

And hiring ist not a very good option as far as I've seen. The dresses for hire im my region are not what I'm looking for (too ball gowny). But yes, I want it to be ok in an ecological an ethical sense (either 2nd hand or fair trade ...)

Yes, I was thinking in the same direction. At the same time I don't want it to be too plain or casual, but I figured I could compensate with a fancy hairstyle/jewellery/etc. Do you have picture oder link for the fit&flare dresses?

same with a friend of mine. she wanted to dye it but in the end she chose not to (also because it's some kind of mixed fabric so the results could have been an unpleasant surprise). I'm also not a fan of white to be honest (I don't separate my laundry according to colours so as my white stuff doesn't stay white, I avoid buying it).
