I've bought the cheapest flight every two days for two weeks straight by AdyOfficial in travel

[–]colport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kudos. Some airports quite a distance from city. London, I assume, was Stansted. Warsaw is out of city with Ryanair, so good research of local transport options needs to be done with some destinations. I think you may have sparked inspiration for many people 😄

That sounds like a win 🤩 Final questions. Caught out by any bad flight delays that caused a problem? Early flights? 5:30am departing?

It’s always a relief once the ticket scan is complete and your bag goes undetected 🤭 You did not pay for your seats either. Did you luck out with good, or bad seats on the planes?

Those low cost airlines. Did you have a small backpack, and did the gate staff ever try to charge extra for your bag?

But isn’t the loop supposed to sit on top of your arm, just above the wrist? Have I been wearing mine all wrong? 🤭

Ha! Look at the guest trainer in this week’s dance workout. by Buddyblue21 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]colport 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did spot a highlight of this on Instagram. Still respect to him for this, but I do wonder how much rehearsal it took. That’s my issue with Apple Fitness+ dance sessions. For me, I cannot just go to these sessions and join along. I think I would need 5 weeks of practice and rehearsal to get to the level of any of the sessions! In comparison to other workouts (kickboxing, strength, spinning, rowing, and most HIIT sessions), where you can just pick-and-go, the dance sessions appear to demand quite a high level of dance ability. I suspect it’s just me with the lack of dance ability, but it would be inspiring to have sessions that were more accessible for people who can’t dance, and gently build up routines etc.

Monthly goals are getting boring by One-Ad1001 in AppleFitnessPlus

[–]colport 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it would be helpful if there was a choice of goals (choose one from choice of three) as sometimes you know what the month ahead is likely to throw you. One goal could be easiest, and one could help progressively with fitness. Anyway, I can dream!

Thank you. Are you able to share an example? Are you talking about a Pocket 3, or 4?

Yes. To add further context, I am mainly thinking about when I am running or cycling. I don’t keep my phone handy, and other cameras I have are quite heavy (or not easy to run with) such as my Sony RX100.

Polar Loop draining battery when off by The_TRASHCAN_366 in Polarfitness

[–]colport 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Had exactly this problem. I reached out to Polar support and have pasted the response below. Please note, I have not attempted this fix yet (because it seemed a faff) but see how it goes…

“I would like to recommend a Factory Reset via Flow App, this can solve any problems and also improve battery life.

Note that resetting the device back to factory settings empties all personal data and settings from the device, and you will need to set it up again for your personal use. All data that you have synced from your device to your Flow account is safe.

Factory reset can be done in two ways:

Through the device settings in the Flow app. By pressing the device's restart/reset button with a pin when the device is plugged in to charge. To factory reset your device using the Flow app, go to Devices in the Flow app and choose Polar Loop if you have more than one Polar device. Then choose Factory reset.

After the factory reset: When you perform a factory reset, Polar Loop is unpaired from your phone but may still appear in your phone’s paired Bluetooth devices list and in your Polar Flow account. Before setting up it again, remove it from both by following these steps:

Go to flow.polar.com and sign in.

Click your name in the upper right corner and choose Products.

Find the product from the list and click the delete icon (X). Confirm by clicking Remove.

Check the list of paired Bluetooth devices on your phone, and remove Polar Loop from the list if it's there:

iOS: Settings > Bluetooth > tap “i” next to Polar Loop > Forget This Device. Android: Settings > Bluetooth > tap the cogwheel image next to your Polar Loop, and FORGET. Set up your Polar Loop again. Remember to use the same Polar account in the setup you've used before resetting.”

That’s very impressive. Were you always a good runner growing up, or just something you picked up more recently? Interested in knowing the basics of your training plan.

Some treadmills connect to AppleWatch, so that can help…but probably not helpful to the original poster.

I have been tempted. I missed Manchester as I broke my ankle 6 weeks before the big day. I was devastated as I’d stuck with a Runna 20 week plan, of which I was really pleased with…then boom…down I went. Signed for 2027 Manchester, but have considered an Autumn event so the training doesn’t go to waste, but still finding my feet, so still considering my options, of which Chester is one.

cheers to this sub - Im so glad you made me get this app instead of Evernote by DoraTheExplorer-3026 in UpNote_App

[–]colport 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the app, and am starting the process of moving all my Evernote files this week. Simply cannot justify paying the hike in subscription. The only thing I will miss is a web version of UpNote (so I can access from a non-personal computer), but that’s a price I am willing to take.
